Confidence is the basis of self-assurance, which governs all the ways a person deals with problems, interacts with others and pursues career goals. In this chapter, we delve into the complex aspects of confidence as well as its importance in allowing each person to realize their absolute potential.
Understanding Confidence:
- Definition: Confidence is an inner strength that comes from believing in one's skills, judgments, and decisions and not being to drift along the tide.
- Components: Self-determination, self-efficacy, and positive self-concept form it.
- Significance: A confidence building affects resilience, risk taking and well-being favorably.
Strategies for Building Confidence:
1. Positive Self-Talk: Talk yourself up instead of down by telling yourself I can
