In "From Shutter To Story's Devotional: A Divine Friendship" she explores her past relationships, and how her past choices have affected her mother-son relationship with her oldest son--featured for the first time in her work since he was a Preschool model for her Christmas book. She is open, honest, sincere, and tells a story that sheds a greater light on how she became a mother, and a published writer. She reaches readers on a level that reveals herself to be greatly flawed in her life and how her path to enriching her faith, developing a stronger trust with the Lord, and being a mother has ultimately led her to realize that the most critical time in her life for choices she made that were faith-based were her teen years.
She dedicates this book to her oldest son, Trey. "He shared with me, on more than one occasion, that I needed to tell my story for teens like him. Because hearing how I found faith might help teens like him find their own footpath to faith, and encourage them to seek a relationship with the Lord sooner than I ever did. It is Trey who encouraged me to take my most inspirational days with communicating with the Lord and put them into works that teens and other adults can relate to. He has been the voice behind most of the more intimate books in the series. I am grateful for our relationship. I hope it continues to grow and develop. But mostly, I am grateful for the Lord. He has suffered so much for me, and this is my way of sharing His gospel with readers who may need some encouragement to do the same."

Introduction
From Shutter To Story’s Devotional series sprouted from a planting in late-winter and early spring of 2023. It stems from a small business class offered for free to members of my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was a twelve-week course that I expressed an interest in that started in January of 2023 as an invitation to those interested in becoming self-reliant and considering starting or nurturing an already existing small business into something more. When I first enrolled, I worked as an employee for the State of Nevada in their Department of Administration in a position titled, Management Analyst III. I had been interviewing for a change and a position grade-level to a Management Analyst IV without much success. I knew when I started working for the State of Nevada as a contract employee under their Office of the Military in an Emergency Preparedness position, that I was accepting the opportunity based on the necessity of a steady income, more
