About this ebook

Simple writings by a pretty simple guy. I have developed my relationship with God over the past few years. This isn't deep pastoral writing here, but rather real life views on how God and what he (she?) means to each of us today. While I am a Christian, for the most part I would not classify these entirely as Christian (there are a few references to Jesus though) in nature.
This is the 2nd volume of writings.

    Introduction

Thank you for taking a look at this series of devotions – the second set I have written.    I appreciate being able to share my thoughts on these verses with you.

Life is hard.  It really is.  And to be totally frank, as people we need all the help we can get to get by.  One important note I would like to share about these writings.   While I am a Christian, I am not suggesting that these are merely Christian in nature.   I don’t pretend to understand a lot of what happens in the universe, but I do think there is something greater than us out there.

Further, this writing isn’t from a position of strong educated knowledge.  I don’t have a religious education and I do not pretend to have one.   I find writing and reflecting to be a peaceful relief from the busy days of life.

I have written from the heart.

    Biography

I am a happily married man in my forties.  I have a wife and children and in general life is really good.    These devotions are written by me and are shared within my Church.  I have made the collection here to share with you.  The profit I make on this is nominal at best (at least based on volume 1 to date) and I aspire to donate it all to charities that help people.

I was raised in a family that regularly attended Church.  And like so many others, upon being confirmed I fled from organized religion.  Even though I prayed daily and talked with God, my relationship was one way.  I talked and did not listen.  But God understood and waited.

My wife and I got married in a Church, because it was a good thing for
