INTRODUCTION

As the clock strikes 2:07 PM on February 19, 2024, I sit in my beloved man cave, fingers poised over the keyboard, ready to embark on another literary journey. Why write another book, Bubba? you might ask. Why not? I respond, a twinkle of determination in my eye.

If you know anything about me, you know that my man cave is where my stories come to life. Here, surrounded by the comforting hum of my computer and the faint scent of coffee lingering in the air, I find solace in the creative process. I look at the walls and I see various things to inspire me, things I have collected on my travels or things given to me. I am a sentimental person, so I like to collect things that trigger good memories. I want to thank you for joining me in this book. There will be  more Bubba books coming out shortly.

As fate would have it, I find myself about to complete another project besides this book called: The Lake House – Journey to Solitude. It's a story near and dear to my heart, chronicling the adventures of me, my beloved wife Mary, and our two sons, Jake and Matthew, as we escape to our cherished retreat known simply as The Lake House.

All we have to say in our house is We're going to the lake, and we all know exactly what that means. I encourage you to keep an eye out for that book because I hope it blesses you, and I want to take you on an adventure with us to our favourite place on Earth, The Lake House.  

Here in the man cave, I'm using a cool program that allows me to speak, and it records my voice into text—essentially a speech-to-text tool. It's fantastic, although it does make quite a few spelling errors. Nonetheless, it's quick, and I hope it can spare my fingers from getting sore. I've noticed my hands are aching at night as I tap away creating books. Every night, I say goodnight to Mary and she asks me to rub her hair. Lately, my hands have been sore from the long hours of work. This morning, I went to bed at 1:00 AM and was up again at 7:00 AM, giving myself only six hours of sleep before working all day in the publishing business.

In addition to publishing, I have another online business where I sell various items as well as help the children with the things they need to do. Bubba never stops working. That's a life lesson I believe in: don't be lazy, work for what
