This book is for visionary people who never look back, back out, throw up their hands in despair, or curse the day they were born because of challenges in life. Rather, like the Apostle Paul, they stride forward, forgetting the past trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to give them strength to overcome. Pastor Albert Sampana, in this monograph, has done just that. Motivating his audience to step in and step up because, as it has been said,
tough times never last, but tough people do."
Apostle Andrews Donkor
President, Pentecost Biblical Seminary, Wayne NJ
Why Settle For Less is a timely call to action. Many lives waste away because they allow distractions and discouragements to kill their zeal for God. They allow the urge for a great future to die. Pastor Albert Sampana, being the tireless chaser of God that he is, addresses the subject from varying perspectives that convince the reader to arise and deploy all the spiritual tools required to break barriers and accomplish great feats for God. His wise counsel on what to do during the waiting seasons of our lives and the need to watch our use of words remain very essential in our bid to maximize our potential. After identifying how craving for comfort can steal your potential, he forcefully prods the reader to muster courage and determination required to reach higher heights. This book is a must-read for all who intend to walk in the fullness of what God has destined for their lives.
Aps. Dr. George Mike Portuphy

It is an honor to stimulate your reading curiosity as you journey through the pages of this incredible and timely masterpiece. Far too often, people settle for less when they are designed for more. The God of all grace has sealed up great potential in every human being. In twenty-three carefully crafted chapters, the author has filled this book with riveting testimonies, provoking thoughts, convicting timeless truths, and probing questions that unmask our lies about unlocking our potential. In life, there is always more. Unfortunately, even those who perceive they are doing well sometimes settle for less when they can stretch the extra mile. Regardless of whatever level one has become comfortable at, this book will unsettle them to rise and mount up with wings like an eagle soaring to their destination. I encourage anyone reading this page to form book clubs with their family, friends, small church groups, and colleagues at work. This book fits every setting because everyone has potential. Go and soar like the eagle on the cover of this book. The act of soaring is an upward-lifting above your current situation. I wish every reader a happy reading. Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life
(Proverbs 13:12).

DEDICATION
I dedicate this book to the Lord Jesus Christ, who died and rose again and made me a minister in the kingdom. I thank the Lord for revealing to me back in 2021 the plight of many people, including Christians, who lament about the predicament of life. He revealed to me that many people settle for less, which ought not to be the case. He made me understand that there is a need for the eagle in the believer to arise. Jesus was the embodiment of the Godhead who demonstrated a life of extraordinary, limitless, bountiful, and fruitful life and ministry. Because Jesus’ love is very much concerned for people, He continues to reveal His plan for humanity through human instruments. Through this revelation, everyone who reads this book cannot sit down without making any impact in their world and maximizing exploit in their given destiny. My prayer is that God will reveal His plan for your life to the fulfillment of the divine destiny. I also dedicate this book to all the members of the Church of Pentecost worldwide and everyone who wants to break boundaries and exploit for their generation.

FOREWORD
I first met with Pastor Albert Sampana in the Fall 2018 in Wayne, New Jersey. He was part of the 2018 cohort that was called into full-time ministry of the Church of Pentecost, USA. He came for the ministerial formation program at Pentecostal Biblical Seminary, where I served as president. It did not take me long to discover that beneath his quietness was a rare gem from God. I am pleased to see him make a contribution to the academy and ecclesia. It is my delight to write this foreword with an epistemological conviction that readers will find the book inspiring.
In this book, Sampana seeks to inspire the readers to reach for greater heights owing to God’s primordial purpose for creating humankind. As people created in God’s image, Sampana posits that greatness is ontological to humankind. This is particularly the case for believers who seek to manifest God’s greatness on this side of eternity. Thus, Sampana challenges the readers to work towards maximizing their potential in keeping with the distinct gifts or talents endowed by God.
For the author, to maximize potential is to attain excellence in one’s pursuit. Drawing from the examples of select persons widely known as global icons both within sacred and secular spaces, Sampana advances that pursuit for excellence invariably demands hunger. Despite their different backgrounds, the author observes that the examples herein cited share a common trait. Precisely, these individuals embodied a remarkable and contagious quest for excellence in their pursuits. Consequently, their extraordinary feats largely defy ordinary human imagination and ingenuity.
Moreover, Sampana adds that one’s relationship with the Creator is inextricably linked to pursuit of excellence and authentic meaning in life. Put another way, pursuit of excellence at the expense of one’s relationship with God is simply futile and engenders frustration. After all, it is from God that humankind derives the ability to attain excellence. Moreover, the author rightly cautions readers that because God endows people with different graces, there is no reason to envy others owing to their accomplishments. Notwithstanding this truth, there are hurdles along the path to excellence.
Admirably, the book transcends metaphysical or esoteric speculations that promote unrealistic desires; Sampana argues that a hard work ethic and a disciplined lifestyle are crucial for attaining excellence. If the work ethic does not match the desire for excellence, such desires cannot be realized. Instead, such desires breed frustration and even competition. A biblically rooted hard work ethic is what distinguished great achievers of excellence in past generations. Such maxim of wisdom and practical insights ran through the tapestry of this book that the readers will find very useful.
Likewise, the author explicates that pursuit of excellence requires a transformed imagination in order to transcend limitations. The distance between where one is and where one ought to be can easily cause frustration, hence the need for eagle-like imagination. Sampana asserts that where one is going (destiny) is more important than where one is. The author surmises that attainment of excellence depends on time hence, one requires to be patient whilst in pursuit of excellence.
Furthermore, Sampana maintains that action and a pursuit of excellence are inextricably linked. Significantly, acting on one’s aspirations is what enables the person to overcome limitations. In other words, the author challenges that having a desire to overcome limitations does not in and of itself actualize excellence. The readers who struggle with procrastination or fear the unknown on the path to excellence will be emboldened to step out and embark on new projects or adventures.
I recommend this book to those who desire to take on new challenges but also concomitantly feel ill-prepared. The author shows the readers a pathway toward excellence and provides practical tools and insights for leveling mountains, exalting valleys, and making crooked paths straight. The book’s style is easily accessible to the ordinary readers but could also resonate with scholars.
Standing on God’s Promises,

INTRODUCTION
This book addresses some revelations on how to make more of an impact in life, go the extra mile, and challenge yourself to access what God has created you to be. You only have one life and one destiny, hence the need to do what you are passionate about. Every person has a deep longing to seek more, although a person might not know where to begin. Despite your attainment in life, there is a deep cry to stretch a little bit more and have a better today than yesterday. In February 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, while praying and waiting upon the Lord, the
