About this ebook

I Shall Not Want is a book that everyone who wants to enjoy the goodness of God forever must read. Not only read, but also meditate on, practice, and trust God as the Good Shepherd, the author and finisher of our faith. It will reveal to you the mind and will of God for your life. It will also teach you how to develop a mature life of prayer, in order to establish a good relationship with God. Emphasis on the principles of Gods prosperity, his promises to supply all your needs in this life, and the kingdom to come, and your abilities to claim these promises were carefully uncovered. By the special grace of God, this book will lead and guide you progressively through the process of living an abundant life, while not being in want of any good thing. It dwells richly on such topics as:
The power in speaking the word of God with faith and belief;
the importance and benefits of prayer and fasting;
the essence of living a peaceful and faithful life, and many more.
This book is very inspiring, encouraging, educational, and powerful. It is written in simplified language for easy reading and understanding. Each chapter begins with one or more scriptural passages, useful definitions of terms, adequate, and appropriate Bible memory verses, and a conclusion section that summarizes the chapter. I have tried to make the book less voluminous so that it can be read within a short period of time, and be read over and over again. You are encouraged to read it with an open mind. I pray that you will find this book very useful. May the good God open your spiritual mind, and grant you the grace to know the truth and be able to practice that truth, so, that truth that you know can set you free. All scriptural passages are taken from the King James Version (KJV) unless stated otherwise.

    I Shall Not Want

    Dedication

    This book is dedicated to the glory of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who has given me the grace to witness this day in good health, and for given me the vision and passion to write this book.

    To my dear parents who has worked hard to bring me up in the way of the Lord.

    To my wife and all my God given children for their understanding and unending support to see that this dream is fulfilled.

    FOREWORD

    Andrew Murray says, Some people pray just to pray and some people pray to know God. This book teaches people to pray to know God. John Bunyan says, Pray often, for prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to God, and a scourge for Satan. This book motivates you to pray often in order to shield your soul, make acceptable sacrifice to God and scourge out Satan. Corrie Ten Boom asks, Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire. This book counsels you to make prayer your steering wheel so that you will be able to reach your destination in life.

    The book could have been strengthened with the use of a modern translation of the Bible, at least the New King James Version (NKJV). Nonetheless, Dipo’s passionate prayer life reflects through it all. His fervent advocacy of an earnest prayer life could launch somebody to a higher realm of success. No wonder, a one time president of America, Abraham Lincoln, says I have been driven many times to my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had absolutely no other place to go. This book challenges you to acknowledge the theological philosophy of Abraham Lincoln that you have no other absolutely reliable place to go other than the presence of God. As you go to God’s presence in prayer, you are guaranteed a blessed and victorious life.

    Welcome to a great adventure on the subject of prayer that produces results. The book is very rich in the use of Bible references and examples. It is sincere in highlighting the prerequisites to a successful prayer life. It is loaded with encouragement to pray. Also, it recommends that fasting while praying could bring more blessings. Reading it is a pleasure and fruitful venture, not a waste of time. If you read it with passion and diligently obey the principles therein, you will no more be a victim of empty prayers; rather you will prevail in prayer. I recommend it for everybody.
