Building a memorial

here are many accounts starting from Genesis going right through to the New Testament of people building memorials to honour what God had done for and through people. In biblical times, this often referred to a statue,, meaning memorable thing, reminder, remembrance. However, we are not required to build such altars or structures today. The thesaurus describes a memorial as “remembering, celebrative, commemoratory, consecrating, enshrining, in tribute, monumental”.
