Fundamentals Of Bible Believing Christianity

About this ebook
Amidst all the many church discipleship, stewardship, evangelism and training programs for pastors, leaders and congregations there is one thing missing: the Fundamentals of the Faith. Many Christians know more about their church’s budget than they do about the Fundamentals of the Christian Faith as outlined in the Word of God. Why? Because the emphasis of most of these church programs is not on the Bible, but on so-called successful church operation and management methods that have moved far away from the things of God to some corporate culture...
Missionary Billy
I call myself Missionary Billy. My real name is Bill Knell. My purpose is to help people understand that YOU CAN TRUST GOD. That's a simple, but very important lesson of life I have learned over the past forty years that I've been a Born Again Believer in Jesus Christ. During that time I am sorry to say that I have learned more about the Christian Life by trial and error, than by studying the Bible and seeking the Lord in prayer. However, when I did finally decide to commit to a serious study of the Word of God and to seek the Lord in prayer each day, my life changed in many ways. I began to understand that no matter how many Church Services or Bible Study sessions I attended, there was simply no substitute for personal Bible reading and daily prayer. If you require a label, most people would consider me a Born-Again, Bible Believing, Conservative Christian. I study and use the King James Version Bible. I am not a Pastor, but have held many positions in local churches and helped to plant them in different areas of the USA. I have a certificate in Biblical Studies, but am certainly not a Bible Scholar. What I have learned by experience working in local Churches and with people that I consider to be great men and women of God, along with my personal studies in the Word of God, is what I hope to share with you in my books.

Introduction
I call myself Missionary Bill. My purpose is to help people understand that YOU CAN TRUST GOD. That's a simple, but very important, lesson of life that I have learned over the past forty years that I've been a Born Again Believer in Jesus.
I am not a Pastor, but have held many positions in local churches including those of a Missionary, Junior Church Leader, Youth Leader, Bus Captain and Evangelist. I have helped to plant churches in different areas of the Northeast USA and elsewhere. I received a certificate in Biblical Studies from Liberty Home Bible Institute and, later, studied Bible, Business Management and more at Liberty Baptist College. However, I am certainly not a Bible Scholar. What I have learned by experience working in local Churches and with people that I consider to be great men and women of God, along with my personal studies in the Word of God, is what I hope to share with you.
If there is one specific thing that I would want my readers to learn is the fact that God is not just some Higher Power or the figment of the imagination of a bunch of religious Kool Aid drinkers. He is a real and personal God that loves people, sent his only Son to die for their sins and wants to make the lives of everyone who seeks Him better and more fulfilling. If you're life is empty and you're trying to fill it with the fleeting things of this world, you're fighting a losing battle. Only God can sooth your longing for happiness and unlike those who often abandon or disappoint us, He will remain at our side forever and be ready to help at a moment's notice.

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
Chapter One: WHY Care About The Fundaments?
Amidst all the many church discipleship, stewardship, evangelism and training programs for pastors, leaders and congregations there is one thing missing: the Fundamentals of the Faith. Many Christians know more about their church’s budget than they do about the Fundamentals of the Christian Faith as outlined in the Word of God. Why? Because the emphasis of most of these church programs is not on the Bible, but on so-called successful church operation and management methods that have moved far away from the things of God to some corporate culture.
While it is true that churches should be good stewards when it comes to finances, training their people, taking care of their members and managing their resources, it’s also true that nothing which is taught or occurs in any Bible believing House of God should go forward without being built on the solid Rock that is the Word of God. Too many Christians and church leaders subscribe to the false teachings of the ‘health and wealth’ gospel crowd the and ‘seed faith’ money grabbers. Jesus warned us against these things in Matthew 7:15-29...
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that
