Overcome Your Fear of Judgment
()
About this ebook
From whose judgment are you running and hiding?
What are you afraid people will see?
A judgment is considered a decree, a verdict, or a ruling. When we talk about the fear of being judged, this type of "judgment" is usually regarded as personal and associated with a feeling of pure dread regarding the finality of another person's opinion, likely their stamp of disapproval.
Do you have social anxiety or struggle with speaking up amongst strangers, being seen in public places, or speaking your mind due to fear of criticism or judgment?
Do you silence what you say due to fear of being viewed as unintelligent?
Are you hiding from the world or anything that would show your true self?
Are you afraid of having your face, figure, or personality in the spotlight?
If you answer "yes" to these questions, this book could help you better understand and defeat your psychological bully. Focusing on the root of your social anxiety—and how to plant new seeds— this book provides solutions for taking your power back and unlocking your mind from mental barriers created, quite probably, by yourself.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
INTRODUCTION
In my time as a psychiatrist and clinician, I quickly made an observation that I wanted to share with others to help liberate them from this mental blind spot to personal freedom.
Time and time again, patient after patient entered the office with a different name but nearly the same mental frame.
Something like: I hate going to the grocery stores because everyone will look at me and know that I am gay.
Or something like: Whenever I leave the house, I feel like all eyes are on me.
Or: I shy away from speaking because I know people think I’m stupid.
What I quickly discovered was that people’s fear of judgment was often a projection of their insecurities. Usually, the people who fear being judged do not realize that they actually DO NOT fear being judged—rather, they fear being seen.
And not just a fear of being seen for who they really are but instead, they fear that in being seen, the marred
version of themselves that they perceive in the mirror will be validated.
The truth is these people are judging themselves (and others, too).
In the following chapters, this brief yet powerful book will help you better grasp a hold of your mind—and, hopefully, with the right changes, your life.
