About this ebook
My heart laid bare
For you
Broken
Healing
Loving and hurting
In all the ways that we do
“From me to you.”
Everything Has Beauty, Even the Darkest of Roses delves into the raw, unyielding emotions that heartbreak drags along its stormy path. It explores the depths it can reach within your soul, the fragments it leaves behind when you feel shattered, and the essence it demands from you to mend once again. This tender narrative extends a gentle hand to the reader, affirming that even amidst the darkest days, when the world seems to hold its breath and we yearn for a pause, there lies a sliver of light. This light, however faint, has the power to reveal the subtle beauty inherent in the storms we brave. Through each ebb and flow of pain and healing, Everything Has Beauty, Even the Darkest of Roses offers a soothing balm of reflection, urging the discovery of grace and beauty in the ashes of loss and the promise of renewal.

There was a time in her life when it was hard to figure out how she felt. Whether it was the future career, partner or where she would live. So, she wrote, realising she was holding in all these feelings, hiding them away as if they didn’t exist. It wasn’t healthy at all. She put her thoughts and feelings into words, she would be lying in bed getting ready to fall asleep and would start getting an itch to write down how she felt that day or about how she felt in the past. It helped let go of feelings she didn’t realise were there until they hit the page. Writing about the ways she never wanted to feel in the future or ever again.

To the few people I talked with about this (you know who you are), thank you for pushing me to go for it and being there every step of the way.

Dear Queens, Kings, or whoever you might be
Who dream of a fantasy life
With the perfect partner for them
Who doesn’t break their heart
Leave them crying in the pouring rain
Who dream of being everything they can be
Despite what society starts to make you think
This is for you
Living in a fantasy world
Doesn’t replace what can be great in the real one
Sometimes we have to get heartbroken
Break a few of our own
To get to that perfect partner for you
To live that life you always dreamed of
We have to be heartbroken every now and then
Feel it, let it make us angry and sad
Heal from it, let it push us forward
Then love again, even if it’s just picking up
The pieces of ourselves
We forgot how to love
To care for
So to the Queens, Kings, whoever you might be
Who have it all figured out
The ones who don’t
Just keep doing you boo
Fall in love with everything that you are
The little things you see on a walk
Fall in love with your life again…
This is for you
How do I let it all go
My heart responded
You already know how
What if I drown
You already are
I opened up the book
Wrote it down
We are just floating now, keep going
And I did
Growing and realising just where you are going. The ups and downs of losing people in any form, whether loosing that relationship or them passing away is all about letting you feel in that moment, even when we don’t want to. We learn to let things go and let people go and that we are all fighting a battle within ourselves. Writing all this down helped me see who I really wanted to be and what I needed to let go of.
Dark days are here and there and brighter ones are too, but there can be a light in the dark, sometimes we have to look for it.
If you have never heard
Tyler Perry as Madea
Talk about how people are like trees
You should
You got to let them go, go on and move on.
At the end of the day
It doesn’t matter what anyone thinks
There was only one person
That was ever supposed to be proud
A little old lady
Called grandma
Whole heartedly believe
That despite all the mistakes
The tattoos
She would have had a fit over
All the things she would have sighed and shook her head at
She would have been so damn proud
Of the woman that is now
The woman to be in the future
This one is for you, my person, my confidant, my makeshift parent, and the one person whose viewpoint ever mattered to me…I did it. I help people, and I love it. I know I was a little late to be able and come # take care of you, but that’s okay, ’cause like always…you take care of me; you still are taking care of me from where you are. My beautiful angel in heaven.
I do believe
A book written
Years ago
Is still a good book
However,
Tattoos
Curse words
Whether you are gay or straight
Isn’t going to send you away
To a place
Made of fire and red
With a black gate
Maybe I’m naive but I think I still have a shot at heaven covered in ink.
Hurt and Heartbreak
To the you who shined so brightly
Yet faded so quietly
We will always remember you
Who smiled so lively
Laughed lightly
The you who was kind
Touched many lives
The you who disappeared
Without even a goodbye
You made us all cry
Smile at the same time
To the you who always tried
Yet almost always cried
You who was living
But never felt alive
Many of us had sad faces
Many
