    Timeless Clock - Vulyncia Poindexter

    ∼V’s Corner on Life∼

What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger… We’ve all heard it, and it’s hard to really consider it when we’re going through some things. Family and friends can seem like our worse enemies at times. Ultimately, it’s because our expectations of them exceed what they are actually capable of doing. Instead of looking at what the outside world is or isn’t doing, think about what you need to be doing or not doing for yourself. Honestly ask yourself if I’d never gone through that would I really know better today? When we’re alone with our thoughts and going through things we think so negatively about life, people, and ourselves. We wonder where is everyone when I need them? The real questions we should be asking are: How many wrong people have I told my problems to? How many of the wrong people have I looked out for? Instead of thinking so negatively look at it as a blessing to filter through what’s really just been taking up space in our life. Taking into consideration who would if they could. No one forgets what someone has done for them even if they don’t acknowledge it. Life doesn’t get any easier for the next person so stop complaining like someone has it better because I can promise you someone has it worse.

I’ve been through a lot in the short time God has allowed me to be on this earth so far. At age 26, I lost my mother. She was 44 years old. I have two daughters. One’s father doesn’t deal with her and the other… well it may be better if he wasn’t dealing with her because sometimes an absent parent is better than an asshole parent especially if it’s not about the child. The game of life is endless and while no two people are alike, someone has gone through it before you and someone will go through it after you. So when it comes to my hardships in life, I really don’t complain for the simple fact I’ve come to realize it could always be worse.

When life hands you lemons you’re supposed to make lemonade. In other words, make the best out of the situations you’re in. Learn to turn those bitter realities into sweet lessons. Really you need to learn nothing in life is free, and stop allowing people in your life that can’t do nothing but bring you lemons and never lemonade.
