One

ADVANCED EARTH, AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE

A re we all calm? Doctor 25AM stood in front of the metal door. 

I hissed at them both! Doctor 25AM looked exasperated, while Doctor Richard looked very amused. I was livid!

When I walked in, I saw Doctor Richard's hand wrapped around my husband's cock. It has been three days since I retrieved a part of my husband’s soul. The result was two-fold. One, Sharp, my husband, was now out of life support. That was a major miracle for him. From a vegetative state, he can now breathe on his own. There were still wires connected to him, but none of the bigger tubes that go in at the base of his neck and through his nose. 

The second one was that he got his sexual drive. Or, as Doctor Richard said, Sharp got his libido back.

When me and Doctor Richard continued staring at each other, me glaring at him, Doctor 25AM crossed the room and stood on the other side of Sharp. I relented and pushed myself towards my husband. Instead of moving away, though, Doctor Richard stayed near me. My left side brushed against his right. The guard rail was down. 

I tried not to sob in front of them. They knew Sharp meant the world to me. When I volunteered for space exploration and got transferred to Jupiter base, Sharp was the one who kept me from going back home to my family and friends back on Earth. He kept pushing my buttons that I became obsessed with proving him wrong. Until one day, we ended up having wild, rough sex, which was supposed to be a one-night stand. That continued every night. Until, he proposed and now I’m tied to him. He knew the work we had was dangerous and wanted to have another person in our marriage.

That person was Doctor Richard. Even though he stood tall and his shoulders straight, I saw the dark bruise beneath his eyes. He slept little when all of this started - when Sharp exploded into pieces so that he could save our base. 

His vitals are strong, Doctor 25AM said as he poked and prod Sharp. 

I felt Doctor Richard nodded. When I moved sideways, he moved with me. I glared up at him, but he was looking at Doctor 25AM’s head. It was better than yesterday, he said. His body is healing at such a rate that even his kidneys and liver will be healed in a few days.

I gasped. That was good news. But how?

Doctor 25AM explained. Just as expected. He looked up at me. Good job, Rian. The soul piece you got was the most crucial one. His cells are regenerating at a much faster rate. If it were other pieces of him, he would still be on life support.

What kind of other soul pieces?

Doctor 25AM opened Sharp’s tunic and did this thing, where he thumped his two fingers on the palm resting on my husband’s torso. His body was still full of stitches. He was worse than Frankenstein put together. If you retrieved other soul pieces like his memories and strength, those would be useless unless he heals physically inside.

And you got a two for one, Doctor Richard added in a sly tone. Already, I could tell where this was going. You brought his libido back.

That triggered my anger again. I faced him fully this time and looked up at him. I was back to my 5 feet 5 inches height, but he was more than a foot taller than me. Why were you touching him? I hissed at him. 

He smirked. My high blood pressure went through the roof. I inhaled deeply three times and tried not to shout at him. Sharpie and I might have slept with you before, but it doesn’t give you the right to touch him at whim! Without me present! I did not care that Doctor 25AM heard. Everyone on the base knew we were hoping Doctor Richard could become our triad. Having polyamorous relationships, especially outside of Earth, was not uncommon. In fact, given the survival rate, most mated or married couples add another person or other beings into their relationship. 

Now Rian. Doctor Richard moved as if to hold my arms, but I was quick enough to evade. I bumped into Sharp’s bed, causing Doctor 25AM to snarl a bit. I winced. One thing he hated was anyone putting great harm on his patient. 

I wasn’t impressed when Doctor Richard angled his body in front of me as if to shield me from Doctor 25AM. Doctor Richard hailed from Xrillia. He was only one fourth human, but he looked 100% human. When he became too emotional, that was when his Xrillian genes emerged. His neck would literally glow red.
