    AGED CHEESE

    Pensive Journey

    As I coast down the road,

     my path is unclear.

    My thoughts on overload,

    I bother not steer.

    My mind wanders,

    the fuel meters low.

    As a hill arises,

    the car starts to slow.

    I approach the crest,

     of my thoughts at hand,

    I look ahead to see,

     a more troubled land.

    I try to remember,

     why I chose this road.

    What reason would justify,

    the price of my load?

    Off in the distance,

    at the bottom of the hill,

    I see a curve in the road.

    The kind that would kill.

    I ask myself, "Should I,

    take hold of the wheel?

    Or should I leave it be,

    to see if death is
