    Reverie - Laura Chouette

    Chapter 1

    –––––––

Since you are gone, I collect the stars each night - building my own night sky, so I have something to hold onto forever.

    –––––––

Art: an earnest love for an immortal lie.

    –––––––

It is okay if you change every once in a while; even the sky needs to let go of its stars to give the sun a home for a while.

    –––––––

The more I write about us, the more our love feels like art.

    –––––––

You can't keep away the waves from the one shore they fell in love with; they will return each day, carrying the same hope.

    –––––––

Sometimes we destroy our love with the selfishness of being loved.

Sometimes we destroy a love with the selfish idea of being not loved good enough.

    –––––––

The fear of falling for the wrong reasons

only prevents you to grow wings for the right ideas.

The fear of falling for the wrong one

only prevents you to grow wings for the right love.

The fear of falling for the wrong reasons only prevents you from growing wings for the right ideas.

    –––––––

The most delicate suffering I ever felt

was when I got lost in the idea

    of loving someone too much.

    –––––––

The most delicate suffering I ever felt

was when I got lost in the idea

    of loving someone not enough.

    –––––––

We break ourselves to fit better into all the wrong hearts.

    –––––––

    Some souls are too broken

to return to the stars they once belonged to.

    –––––––

Those deserted lines of love and pain

    kept your love wandering

     - and by that alive -

    so that one day

    some restless thought

    would stumble upon your eternity.

    –––––––

    Some break their hearts themselves

only to be healed of the wrong love faster.

    –––––––

Don't let the scars on your heart define the way you love.

    –––––––

All I ask the new year for

is to fall silently into the spaces

that the last one left empty.

    Filling them with a hope

that tells me gently at dawn

    that my simple love

can cure even the most extraordinary heart

    and that my broken past

is enough for each tomorrow that follows.

Maybe it will even remind me

that all the mistakes I will collect over the next year

are not as bad as the chances missed in the last one.

    –––––––

Time means nothing when you are in love.

    –––––––

You can only hold onto a soul forever when you touched it with all your heart.

    –––––––

A sea of unspoken words; waiting for a reason to meet the shore for the first time.

    –––––––

    Love is a delicate suffering.

    –––––––

Some hearts will never burn as bright as the memories do.

    –––––––
