    1.  Finding Purpose & Meaning in Modern Times

Finding purpose in life has long been a source of speculation among philosophers, theologians, and everyday individuals alike. There's no easy answer here but finding our life purpose gives direction and meaning while motivating engagement with life around us; helping to shape meaningful interactions while giving a sense that life matters and matters for everyone involved. In this chapter we'll look at different strategies we can employ in finding our life purpose - so as to live a more satisfying and worthwhile existence.

1.1  The Importance of Purpose in Modern Life

Modern life can be fast-paced and often chaotic, making it easy to lose sight of what truly matters in our daily lives. Between work, family obligations, social commitments and any personal needs that arises for ourselves; life may become stressful enough without losing touch with what gives life its meaning or purpose altogether.

Not having any sense of direction and meaning can lead to an empty and meaningless existence; purpose provides direction and motivation, helping us focus our energies and efforts where it truly matters, finding joy in daily lives despite challenges or setbacks, while without it we risk feeling disoriented or disconnected unsure where our journey leads or why it matters at all.

Life without purpose or direction can become dauntingly overwhelming; lacking one can leave one feeling lost and dissatisfied, leading to decreased motivation and discontent with their circumstances. A purpose can serve as the compass that guides all actions and decisions we take throughout our days - serving as both guidance and motivation in daily activities, decisions and relationships. Without such guidance a purpose in life may become irrelevant and without meaning for individuals living it without guidance can quickly lead to disillusionment with themselves and with life itself.

One prominent example of having a purpose can be seen through Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc. He was known for his relentless quest for perfection and innovative thinking; yet had an explicit purpose and vision for Apple Inc. which he articulated at their Worldwide Developers Conference address where they stated their purpose as: 'our purpose is to advance humanity by producing tools which empower minds'

Purpose was at the core of Jobs' actions and decisions at Apple; it guided everything he did while also motivating and inspiring everyone at work. Apple's success stands as testimony to this power: with Jobs leading them forward they introduced revolutionary products like Macintosh computers, iPods, iPhones and iPads which revolutionized lives
