I sat on the porch, watching the clouds move around the mountains in the distance.  I had been working on finishing my cup of coffee, but it had long since turned cold.  I put my book down and was about to get up to go inside when the door opened, and Tom walked out carrying two glasses.

Why are you sitting in the cold like this?  He walked over and turned on the overhead heaters, and we could almost immediately feel the warmth flooding down on us.

I looked at him, I had not really noticed; I guess I was someplace else. Then I nodded to the glasses, What's this?
