With thanks to Livia Cheyenne, my Muse.

I was on the floor in the corner of the main house's dining room, with my head and shoulders under the counter where the sink was, when Rachel wandered in wearing mostly, well… nothing. Her dressing habits, or the lack thereof, had become a pretty regular habit with her while Tom was away and had become so commonplace that it no longer elicited the immediate excitement in me that it once did.

She was still a knockout, and I still looked at her wantonly when she did this, but it was not as big of a deal as when she first started doing it.

Whatcha doing down there? She asked, standing almost directly over me.

I looked up and smiled. The view was interesting, to say the least, but I needed to finish this, so I turned back to my task, I am fixing this baseboard that keeps popping off.  It looks like there might be some water damage. I pulled a couple of pieces of the board off the underside of the counter, then looked at her, "Did you have a broken water line here or something?

She nodded, Not really a broken line, but the sink overfilled once… for a couple of hours.  One of us was filling the sink, and we got distracted by something outside; when we returned later, we found the kitchen flooded.

I nodded, Yeah, that'll do it.

She squatted down next to me, Does it look bad? Oh, and Tom will be back in town Tuesday.

I glanced at her and then went back to work. "Great. The damage is not that bad.
