Hidden heroes

‘You complete me,” he murmurs, his eyes focused on the steaming shoulder of lamb I’ve prepared and placed before him. It oozes juices, issuing the scent of garlic-infused lusciousness the way that only roast lamb can. Is it just the lamb that completes him, I wonder? His words leave me aching in anticipation.
