   INTRODUCTION   

IMAGINE

Imagine a world of people living as their highest selves, living out their divine purpose, fully expressing their talents, having the financial tools and knowledge to control their financial destiny, to impact one another for the greater good. To me this would be the perfect world. I want my children and their grandchildren’s children to inherit this world.

I was about to submit this very book, Fall in Love with Money and Align With Your Divine Purpose for editing with my publisher when I was advised to read The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles written back in 1910. Timing is everything and this book came across my lap at the perfect moment. Wallace D. Wattles provides the exact scientific formula to get rich. It is difficult to argue his authority, his drive, his focus. His book is based on absolute universal truth. What that truth says is that we have the power as individuals and collectively as a human race to be rich, wealthy, whole. We have the ability within ourselves to lead the life of our dreams and we alone have the power to change our trajectory. I encourage you to read his book as well to see just what the possibilities within you are.

What I realized after reading The Science of Getting Rich is that my message is in parallel with Wallace. The universal truth and mission is to elevate humanity to its higher purpose. There have been individuals before Wallace’s time and there will be individuals after my time that will also share a similar mission. The hope is that this mission will be carried forward for many generations ahead of us. Collectively we have the power within us to make a difference. In the meantime, I take this mission very seriously and I promise to continue to elevate humankind by teaching them how to Fall in Love with Money and Align with their Divine Purpose. In doing so individuals will have the tools to create financial success and use it for the greater good. If everyone has these tools and resources available to them the trajectory of humankind’s financial condition and divine alignment continue to elevate. When we all elevate our financial condition, we all become closer to living our lives as our highest selves.

What I also realized after reading Wattles book was that my book lacked an introduction—a proper why. Why am I writing this? Why is this book and the message contained within it so important? Why will I be writing more books in the series of Fall in Love with Money? So here is the Why for the reader to know and understand my motivation:

My mission is to provide the tools, so that individuals can increase their financial resources and become good stewards of their finances. In so doing individuals will learn to be their highest selves, aligned to their divine purpose, working towards the greater good of humanity. In so doing, the entire human race elevates their station in life. I want you to Fall in Love with Money and Align With your Divine Purpose.

How do we Fall in Love with Money? The first step of the Journey is to understand the Money 101 Misconceptions that are seeded in every area of our lives: at home, school, business, the news. WHY FALL IN LOVE WITH MONEY?

When one understands the functions, utility, structure, and mindset of money, they can use it as a tool to create possibility, security, wealth, opportunity, welfare and most importantly the financial freedom to utilize it for a greater good. When you Fall in Love with Money and create this financial freedom, you unshackle yourself from poor spending habits, limiting beliefs and closed doors. You take the control back into your hands to make decisions that align with your goals, your dreams, your divine purpose!

Obtaining this financial freedom is an important journey that each one of us should strive to experience and master. It will not only create the foundation for you to build your dreams and wealth but will also give you the freedom to serve others in the capacity you are best suited for. We all have a calling and divine purpose we were born with—it is always there. Throughout our lives we are meant to realize it, shine our brightest and live as our highest selves. The same goes for our finances. We are meant to live abundantly so that we can use our resources for the greater good.

Success has many facets, one of which is being able to serve and give of yourself to others. The three ways to do this is by giving of your Time, Talent and Treasure. With Divine Purpose we have the ability to provide these three components. Each of these components is quite unique and in this context is viewed from the perspective of being able to promote the greater good.

Time is something that must be organized so you have more of it to share and spend on important priorities and individuals. Time in this context is the uninterrupted quantity of time one can dedicate to a calling or a specific purpose for a desired outcome. Time is also something you can have more of once you are financially stable.

Talent in this context is defined as one’s natural ability to create a unique outcome from the resources one was innately born with. Talent is your unique gift you already possess. Perhaps you have already discovered it or perhaps when you are more financially stable you will then have the time and resources to develop your unique talent.

Treasure in this context is the accumulated financial resources one has the ability to part with in order to enhance a desired outcome or promote a specific purpose. Some examples of these purposes can be: creating wealth, donating to charity, investing in opportunities, creating abundance both financially and spiritually, and paying it forward. Each one of us can have access to all three of these resources and it is important to be able to access each to live abundantly.

Each of these components is important however as one accumulates more Treasure, it also allows us to give more of ourselves, our Time, and our Talent. As you gain more financial freedom you gain more confidence to realize your Divine Purpose. You understand how to create and leverage more Treasure. Your Treasure allows you to gain more Time to give to others since you are less worried about where your next paycheck will come from. Your Treasure also allows you to gain more freedom to express your Talent since it is now unencumbered by debt. Money is not the most important thing in the world but utilizing it for the greater good certainly is! This journey opens you up to the person you are meant to be.

As many of us have encountered each time we take a flight, you are always instructed to put on your own oxygen mask first before helping others. One is most effective in helping others when one is confident, focused, and has the strength to share with others. The same is true for creating your own strong financial foundation that way you can help yourself, your family, and those around you to be strong stewards of their finances and in turn Align with Their Divine Purpose. This power is in your hands. You just have to be willing to engage in it.

Over time I have encountered many individuals who make it look easy. It looks like they have their lives figured out, success comes easy, and work seems like play. I have also had the privilege to work with individuals, create friendships, be mentored by, and serve clients with this kind of success as well. This type of lifestyle is possible. It happens every day. The common denominator with these individuals is that they have mastered the art of money, aligned with their Divine Purpose, and are using their money for a greater good. Secondly, it is important to point out that in order to have this success the formula is quite simple: Fall in Love with Money + Align With your Divine Purpose. Lastly, these individuals abundantly give of their Time, Talent and Treasure to create opportunity for others. In other words it is not complicated to live the life of your dreams. It begins with creating a strong relationship with money and this book will show you how to Fall in Love with Money and Align with Your Divine Purpose.

How Will This Book Benefit Me?

Stories of successful individuals are all around us. They range from those that have been employed their entire lives and are now moving into retirement, individuals that began investing in various real estate and other passive income opportunities, individuals that have turned a passion into a business, and others that are inspired to spread the word within their mastered crafts such as teachers, professors, and professionals. These individuals have created success within their own families and businesses and have positively impacted those around them with their core values, understanding how money operates and their Divine Purpose. When I come across these individuals, they have several things in common. They all use the principles of money described in this book, they live abundantly, they are aligned with their Divine Purpose and they have all created success on their own terms. Additionally, each one of these individuals subscribes to the philosophy of paying it forward. Paying it forward means using the knowledge and resources one has accumulated over time and in turn providing it to others so they too can benefit as well. They all understand their impact has far reaching effects and in turn want to leave a positive mark on this world.

Money is their tool to create a bigger and better picture not only for themselves but also those around them. Money is not the end that justifies the means. Call it Karma, Divine calling, or what you will but these individuals have tapped into something bigger than themselves. They have aligned themselves with the bigger picture and are navigating life with a bigger purpose in mind. They are true servants to their craft and pay it forward. What’s more, these are ordinary individuals living life in an extraordinary and fiscally responsible way.

Is there a formula to their success? From my experience yes, there is. We will be exploring this formula in the following chapters of this book.
