The Importance of Faith

About this ebook
The just shall live by his faith; without faith, it is impossible to please God. If you are a believer, you must live by your faith. Faith is a lifestyle for the believer, and the believer must use his/her faith. Faith without works is dead, being alone. You must put actions to your faith. If you believe God for a new house, you must do your homework--what kind of house do you want (with three bedrooms, two baths, and two-car garage). The Lord is not going to do everything for you; the believer must work together with the Lord. There must be a balance when a person teaches on faith. We just can't name it and claim it--we have to live it.

About the Author
Introduction
God works by faith. He calls those things that are not as though they were. When God created the heaven and the earth, he said in Genesis 1:3, Let there be light: and there was light.
Then God said in Genesis 1:6, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
Every time God made something in the book of Genesis, he said something first.
God calls those things that are not as though they were.
Faith should be present; it should be with you right now. We have to believe God to answer our prayers right now. God is a present God. I believe God for a new job. The Bible says in Mark 11:24, Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].
Not after you pray, but when you pray. So every time I think about my new job, I just thank the Lord for it; before you know it, the new job shows up. Of course, you have to do your homework; you must know what kind of job you are looking for, and you will have to be specific with God.
You must live by faith to please God. In part 2 of Habakkuk 2:4, it says, But the just shall live by his faith.
We, who are in right standing with God, must live by faith because in Hebrews 11:6, it says, But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
God taught a man named Abram faith in the book of Genesis 12:1–5: The Lord said to Abram; ‘Go for yourself [for your own advantage] away from your country, from your relatives and your father's house, to the land that I will show you. And God said I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others.'
God said that Abraham and all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Abraham obeyed God and left his home, not knowing where he was going.
Here is an example of the faith walk. The Lord always looks for a man or a woman that would obey him.
Sarah, Abraham's wife, received strength to conceive, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. Therefore from one man and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude and as the sand which is by the seashore innumerable. (Heb 11:11–12)
You need to listen and know the word of God for yourself. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. You have to hear the word of God preached and the word of God taught. You might be going through a financial situation; you will have to hear what the Bible says about finance. You may have sickness in your body; you need to hear what the Bible says about healing. You need to know what the scriptures say about healing.
We all start at the same level with faith, but everyone can grow. God has given to all men a measure of faith. This is so wonderful about God. The Lord is no respecter of person. What he does for one, he will do for another. We all have to grow in our faith. It's like building muscles; you have to start off with light weights and not heavy weights. If you continue to lift the same light weights, you will stay at the
