THE OLD MAN AND THE RABBIT
A wily little rabbit once lived in the past. Like many rabbits, he was fond of baby lettuce and carrots. He found a vegetable garden and dug deep barrows into it, eating till he was stuffed.
The garden's owner, an elderly man, wanted to buy a large dog to defend his garden after becoming weary of someone stealing all of his veggies.
The next day, when the rabbit came to the vegetable patch, he was surprised to discover a large, drooling dog looking at him from behind the fence. The small rabbit heard it bark and fled, his heart racing.
After one, two, three, and five days, the little rabbit continued to observe the garden from a distance. How could he not notice the crisp carrots? All he had to do was figure out a way out. He had a brilliant idea while he was sitting there, sad. He dashed into the hamlet and went directly to the butcher. He walked directly to the dog after removing some meat and a few bones from the butcher's trash. He tossed the meat to the dog, who went to town on it. Meanwhile, the little rabbit crept into the garden and scarfed down a few carrots.
After three full days, the little rabbit went through the same routine, giving the large dog the leftover meat that the butcher had thrown away. The small rabbit was left alone to munch on the veggies while the dog ate the meat. After realizing what was going on, the elderly guy felt the dog was useless and went ahead and got a bear.
The little rabbit dropped all the meat he was carrying and just looked in shock at the bear! After one, two, three, and five days, he eventually devised a new scheme. After entering the woods, he discovered a beehive. Bears are known to be obsessed with honey, so he filled a small bucket with the sweet treat and gave it to the bear. The bear went nuts as soon as she smelled the honey! She devoured the honey while sitting in a corner, her hunger unquenchable! The bear scarcely noticed the little rabbit as he entered the garden and began munching on the carrots!
The bear was fed honey by the rabbit and the rabbit was allowed to roam the garden for three more days. The elderly garden owner realized that he, too, could not depend on the bear. He chose to get an elephant in place of the bear!
The little rabbit hurried to his pal the mouse the next day, pointing out that elephants are scared of mice after he spotted the elephant watching over the vegetable plot. Could you approach him, wish him a nice morning, and frighten him away? With pleasure! The mouse chuckled and crawled beneath the fence with joy. The little rabbit observed the elephant breaking down the fence and vanishing a minute after hearing a sound like a trumpet. After giving the mouse his thanks, the little rabbit went into the garden and devoured carrots till his stomach was bursting.
The elderly guy realized he had no chance of defeating the rabbit since it was too cunning for any guard after realizing what had transpired. The elderly, very intelligent guy managed to transform his loss into a win. He went up to the little rabbit, who gave him a large tummy and gazed at him. He remarked,
I believe you are too intelligent for anybody. What are your thoughts about our collaboration?
- Specifically, what are you thinking of? The little rabbit remarked inquisitively.
- In return for watching after the vegetable garden, you are free to consume as many carrots as you desire.
After giving it some consideration, the rabbit responded confidently.
- You're set! Shake it off, please!
The elderly man was relieved to have someone in charge, and the small rabbit could have as many carrots as he pleased without putting in a lot of effort. So the two of them agreed.
And they had a long and happy marriage!
A PRINCESS-WILD BERRY
There there was a princess who was exceptionally lovely and long, long ago. For her to have a grandchild in his realm, her father, the king, desired that she get married.
He sent an invitation to married princes and noblemen worldwide to join him for a week-long celebration that included dancing, intoxication, and gluttony.
His daughter was shown to every one of them, but despite her beauty, she was too haughty to even engage in conversation. She thought there was a flaw in every person.
She didn't think a young, attractive nobleman would do for her. He loved being outside and being hands-on, so he rode his horse a lot.
He shattered his leg in an accident one day. Because of the improper growth of the bones, his leg became somewhat twisted, earning him the nickname Bowleg from the large-headed princess. He was referred to as Nobleman Bowleg after the moniker stuck.
*To provide his daughter one more opportunity at happiness, the monarch sent another invitation a year later.
However, news got out throughout the whole nation that the gorgeous princess was also a spoilt brat who wouldn't take
