    Timeless Love

    Chapter 1

On a calm Sunday morning , I woke up to a beautiful sunrise with lots of colors in the sky. The sun, shining in my favorite color yellow, made my room glow. It made me feel really happy and thankful for being alive and for the kindness of Allah. While still in bed, I opened my eyes, stretched my hands, and reached for my phone to check the time. I was excited about the new day and the chance to start afresh. The sunlight streaming in seemed to bring a sense of hope and promise for the hours ahead.

As I woke up, I opened my eyes really wide to see the time. After checking it, I started saying my morning Dua. It's something the Prophet of Islam encourages us to do every morning when we get out of bed. This special prayer holds a lot of importance, reminding us to express gratitude and seek blessings as we begin a new day.

    I recite..........

Alhamdulillahilladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushur.

This morning Dua means  All praise is due to Allah who has given us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the resurrection.

Surprisingly, I awoke precisely at 6:00 AM, which amazed me. As I opened my eyes, a realization hit me – it's Sunday , and there's no need for lectures or heading to school today. Deciding to capitalize on this unexpected gift of time, I contemplated continuing my sleep. However, a concern lingered – the relentless morning sun. My hostel room faced the sun directly, and its rays will disrupt my sleep.

With a quick reaction, I sprang out of bed to close the curtains, ensuring the sunlight wouldn't easily invade my room again. As the curtains sealed off  the outside world, the room turned into darkness. Settling back onto my bed, I reflected on my habitual sleeping preference – darkness. I never doze off with lights on; it's a practice I follow diligently, turning off any source of illumination to ensure a peaceful and undisturbed sleep.

As soon as I lay down, I shut my eyes, anticipating sleep to embrace me soon. However, I found myself waiting anxiously, growing increasingly desperate for the elusive slumber. The clock struck 7:00 AM, and I began to drift into drowsiness, finally feeling a sense of well-being as sleep approached. In a matter of minutes, I gave in to the embrace of sleep.

I had a happy dream where I felt like I was in a spiritual world. It was confusing because I usually don't believe in dreams, but my friends often talk about weird things happening after bad dreams. This dream wasn't bad or good, just strange.

I don't really want to hang out with boys or date them, so the dream left me feeling unsure about what it meant. It's not like the scary dreams my friends talk about, but it's still surprising to me.

I've never experienced love and have decided not to entertain romantic feelings until I achieve my goal of earning a first-class degree in Medicinal Biochemistry. I've always aspired to excel in my studies, so I consciously avoid getting involved with boys. However, there's a dilemma – I can't seem to resist the charming guy who appears in my dreams. He's incredibly handsome, and if he were to propose, I fear I wouldn't be able to turn him down. It feels like he has unexpectedly captured my heart.

Lost in a pleasant dream, a knock interrupted my tranquility. Disregarding it, I assumed time hadn't advanced much, as I am expecting only Sade's arrival around 10:00 AM. It seemed premature, given my brief nap of just an hour.

To my surprise, I heard the person mentioning my name after she knocked for several times and there wasn't any response from me..

Ummu Salma..!! Ummu Salma...!! Ummu please are you there?

Sade knocks and calls on my name..

    Eerm... Eer..I...I am coming please

    I said still feeling sleepy.........

I quickly stood up and walked to the door, please I am coming don't be angry, I said in low tone..

I unlocked the door from inside and I asked the person to come in.

Sade walked into the room with her eyes frowned.

I asked her, what's wrong Sade?

She didn't turn to look at me nor replied me.

I asked again with a pretty smile on my face..

"Sade please I am sorry what's wrong?

You know I love you so much, what's troubling you?"

    Sade smiles and says....

" Is it not you...why will you keep me waiting knowing that we have somewhere to go.

I knocked on your door for almost 10 minutes before I started mentioning your name.

So if I hadn't mentioned your name, you wouldn't have mind me right....

She hiss and went straight to sit on my bed"

    I am sorry girlfriend.

    I say to Sade....

"Ooh my God, were you still sleeping?.....This is unbelievable

Check the time now and see for yourself."

I quickly grabbed my phone to find out what exactly time did I wake up..

"Oooh My God, is almost time...9:30AM....what should I do now?

    I am confused..."

I say hurriedly..... rushing out a lot of words from my mouth to Sade.

Sade didn't act like I exist, I guess she is still angry at me..

    Sade please say something na...

I asked with a concern and a pressing voice..

Let's hurry, as I really don't want to miss Lara's birthday. It's an important day for both of us, commemorating the day Lara was born. Lara is a cherished friend, and we both truly enjoy her company. Her presence means a lot to us, and we want to make sure we're there to celebrate this special day with her. Sade says this with a playful smile, emphasizing the joy and affection we have for Lara.

It's a special day indeed......we can't afford to miss it if not Lara will definitely get mad at us

I say to support her statement.

Lara, a stunning young lady studying Chemical Science and Technology at the University for Development Studies, hails from a wealthy family. Her beauty has made her widely recognized on campus. Known for her playful nature, Lara places a great deal of trust in our friendship, entrusting us with everything. She is exceptionally loyal and caring, making attending this party a definite priority for us.

I hurried into the bathroom, swiftly brushing my teeth and freshening up. As I readied myself, I called out to Sade, Could you please assist me in heating some water for tea? I'd like to have it for breakfast before we head out. Sade frowned upon hearing my request as I rushed back into the washroom.

Sade, a wonderful girl, holds a special place in my heart as the first female friend I encountered on campus. Deeply in love, I proposed that we become best friends and take our relationship to the next level. Sade, a devout Muslim, embraces modesty, adorning herself with Hijab and Khimar to conceal her body from Non Maharam men. Only her palms and legs are visible when she dresses. Her beauty shines, whether she wears the Hijab or not, and her captivating smile is my weakness.

Sade boasts an oval-shaped face complemented by a round, pointed nose. Sade is from a very Muslimatic background and the family don't joke about the practices of Islam as their religion. It always amazes me to see her practicing the religion more than I do but I do learn and imitate her characters, our friendship is quite beneficial to me as I always gain and learn one or two things from her. She is loving and caring..

After spending 30 minutes in the bathroom, I emerged and headed to the hall, hastily applying lotion to ensure we wouldn't be late for the party.

Hmm, baby, your lotion is quite expensive. I can smell its scent, reminiscent of a pricey perfume. By the way, your water is ready, and I hope there's sufficient bread because I'll also be having tea, remarked Sade.

Hey, you've got to stop with the comparisons – my lotion can't compete with yours, considering how pricey your stuff is! I aspire to be like you when I'm all grown up. By the way, I think I bought bread yesterday, so it should be good for both of us.

After teasingly saying this, we shared smiles. Despite our differences, we all know each other well and appreciate whatever we have, no matter how modest it may be.

After getting myself dressed, I applied some light make ups and some perfume.

I asked Sade can we drink the tea now, I am too hungry..

I said to her looking so desperate as if like my money has got missing..

    Yeh....Yes of Course

    Sade says...

I took the available ingredients from the dining table and prepared a pot of tea, urging her to join me swiftly, emphasizing the urgency of the moment. We spent a leisurely 10 minutes sipping the tea, and in the aftermath, I proposed that we expedite our departure. Yet, Sade,
