The Power of Universal Laws: A Parent/Teacher Guide to Raising Empowered Children in Four Stages
()
About this ebook
As parents, educators, and caregivers, we have the choice of raising empowered children who face life's challenges and adversities with grace and ability and who co-create the reality they desire while living their purpose and peace every day or raising children who feel helpless, confused, lost, suffer low self-esteem, and become victims of their circumstances. The Power of Universal Laws: A Parent/Teacher Guide to Raising Empowered Children in Four Stages guides readers through these four powerful stages: Stage 1 examines the awareness of the comfort zone in confronting fears and limiting beliefs. Stage 2 explores extending the comfort zone. Stage 3 discusses learning and growing through introspection. Stage 4 looks at transformation through living an authentic, empowered life and co-creating the desired reality with least effort.
The best gift we can offer our children is to sow the seeds of empowerment by modeling and teaching them the timeless power and wisdom of the universal laws, supporting each stage when they are young, and enabling them to tap into their innate divine power, their truth, and capacity to be deliberate co-creators of their lives, unapologetically shining their light.

"Coach Mona book explains why The Power of Universal Laws are a transformational beacon of light and love. She explains how to use them as practical tools to empower our children how to self-parent themselves. As holistic parents it is critical to teach our children and grandchildren the timeless wisdom contained within the Universal Laws of Life. We need to embed these Universal Laws into the curriculums of every educational institution throughout the world. Educating our children about how to implement The Power of Universal Laws is an essential element for us to achieve global transformation. We as parents, teachers, and caretakers need to teach our children these laws
so they will grow up to be emotionally mature, self-empowered adults."
Master Coach Hu Dalconzo (Founder of Holistic Learning Centers, Inc).
I really enjoyed reading The Power of Universal Laws by Mona Kishnani Johnson. In the book, Mona describes in detail what the Universal Laws are and how to apply them in your everyday life. She also offers personal experiences and stories to further explain how the Laws apply in her own life and how they could in yours. I have learned about the laws from other teachers in the past, and there is something about Mona’s approach to explaining them that really helped me to not only understand them better but also to see the areas in my life where I could apply them for greater success. Not to mention the numerous reminders and AHA’s that I experienced while reading this book. Believe me, I took notes.
I also love the examples she gives to parents on teaching and reenforcing the Universal Laws to children. As a parent and grandparent, I feel that her guidance is spot on and so very important for future generations.

PREFACE
Namaste, My Soul Friends:
I was inspired to write The Power of Universal Laws: A Parent/Teacher Guide to Raising Empowered Children in Four Stages when I first witnessed all-or-nothing behavior in children. Two incidents come to mind.
First, I took my then-six-year-old daughter shopping for house errands. Of course, as a child, she gravitated towards the toy aisle, mesmerized by all the toys and gadgets. When told that she could look but not buy toys, she broke out into a tantrum and cried. She made statements that she will never get her toys, her whole day is ruined, et cetera. On another occasion, I took my daughter on a playdate where the other child wanted to do a science experiment, that is, mix random ingredients together. Her mother said that, since they had a family engagement to attend a few hours later, she preferred the girls do something else and plan for the experiment another day. My daughter’s friend resisted and made statements that nothing was going as planned for her. She disengaged herself from the play date. My daughter played with her toys, alone, after which she came home and made the remark, Mom, nobody played with me.
I explained that sometimes we all have challenging days when we do not get what we want.
I pondered those circumstances in life when we do not get what we want when we want it. How do we respond in situations like these? How do we help our children to make lemonade out of lemons? I wondered how to model and teach them to be resilient and empowered in fun and effective ways so that they develop into emotionally mature adults who do not fall into the trap of becoming a victim of the situation or blaming themselves or others for their situation. I pondered how to teach them to create their reality.
EMPOWERMENT DEVELOPMENT
Empowerment development grants us the ability to prepare for, adapt, flex, and respond to life situations and challenges with grace and ease. It bestows the freedom to create the reality we desire. When empowerment development occurs early in a child’s life, they acquire and develop the ability to see life’s problems and challenges as possibilities for progress rather than as guarantees of doom. Early programming in this regard helps children gracefully face opposition to doing or getting what they want, when they want, a skill they can carry into adulthood and beyond. Empowering children with tools early on wires their brains to think and act in ways that allows them to accept their current plight as is, to explore fun ways to expand their perspectives, and to find joy and peace in their life situations and challenges. In practicing empowerment, they learn that, although they cannot control events, they can control how they respond to events. They learn to go with the flow and enjoy every moment of their lives, instead of resisting and fighting against circumstances. They learn to use all the energy they would have expended in struggling against the experience to build the life they deserve and want. Empowerment teaches children that there are no good
or bad
experiences in life. There are only experiences.
Ancient martial arts teaches that it is wise to not resist an opponent’s force, but instead to yield to overcome.
As mature thinkers, we learn to look at life’s oppositions and challenges as lessons or life adventures. As caretakers of our children, the greatest sustaining gifts we can offer is to model, guide, and teach them to face challenges
