It is just before midnight. Before going to bed, I must feed Storm.
Storm is a little lamb that lost her mother during her birth. She is still bottle feeding but does sleep through the night afterwards. She sleeps in the bedroom with my daughter.
Now that I have put her to bed, it is time for me to turn in for the night. Worst part about going to bed this late is that it will take me 30 minutes to an hour to fall asleep.
Well. I guess I jinxed myself. I’m seeing the clock at 0100. However, I did say that it would take me about an hour to fall asleep. The main issue I was having was turning off my mind. There are times when my mind will go back in time and think of how I might have changed things. But there again, I may not have a family. I might still be single and never commit to a relationship. I have to admit, I did have a lot of fun being unattached.
I looked over at the clock and it was 0200. I really need to go to sleep since today is Thursday and I had planned to have a long weekend off. Friday is my wedding anniversary. My spouse and I have always found a way to have fun on that day even with a growing child. That child changed my life for the better. She helped me to be a better listener, proofreader, and person. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me. While she was at school, my spouse and I would enjoy some satisfying time together.
Oh man, now it’s 0300 and I’m still awake. The dogs, the lamb, and my daughter are all asleep. I need to go to sleep. I do like reminiscing about my past but if I don’t get some sleep, I’m going to be tired at work. I tried closing my eyes and clearing my mind of all thoughts.
I think I saw the clock at 0400. When the alarm clock sounded, it was 0630. I dislike going to work without getting enough sleep. But, I’m going. It’s Thursday and I’m going to have a ‘skeleton crew’ today. Our week begins on a Friday and ends on a Thursday.
My daughter will take care of Storm today while I’m at work.
It is 0715 and time for me to leave for the office. I arrived at the
