About this ebook

Although I never wanted to have children primarily due to fear and selfishness, I chose to put that aside to reproduce. The biggest feat wasnt my ego as much as it was the desire to defeat medical sciences prediction of my future. Therefore, I changed my self actualization chart to include motherhood. There was going to be one exception to setting aside my ego and self centeredness. I had to reproduce a child that had my personality traits.

Therefore, I set my goal to bare an Aquarian like me. Failure was not an option.

What if at the age of thirteen you were hospitalized from a simple harmless pat on the head. I found myself in the hospital for almost three weeks having to endure multiple tests to attempt to explain the pulsating, painful paralyzing effect to my hands and arms. Finally, I get released from the hospital with a diagnosis that is life threatening and has no cure. I was told that by the age of twenty two I would be paralyzed and deceased shortly thereafter. What would you do?

My choice was at first denial. I felt fine and chose to believe that the doctors were wrong. Granted the temporary paralyzing effect of my hands and arms was very much real and the doctors could be correct but there had to be another answer. So instead of denial, I chose to be cautious but to still be a teenager and hope to grow older than predicted. I did have fun with my friends, and did continue to do well in school. I just wouldn’t be going on any wild rollercoaster rides. The diagnosis was that of a degenerative spinal disease preventing me from jointing events. Caution was the only prevention. I was not afraid of the end results but I was going to live lively until the end.

As a teenager, we never believe that anything bad can happen to us. For me, I knew what the end was per the doctors. So like a normal teenager, I did everything I wished. I experimented with smoking cigarettes and drinking beer. I had a boyfriend or two and crush on others. I got to feel what love between a male and a female was and the heartbreak of losing that first love.

With my first marriage I struggled with telling him about my diagnosis especially the part about not being able to bore a child. Luckily through a sad chain of events, I never had to. We were divorced after five years.

When I reached the age of twenty two, I had had a small re-occurrence of my symptoms. I chose to seek another opinion. This time the doctor diagnosed arthritis in my shoulder and a pinched nerve in the neck. I let my doctor know about the symptoms and he said don’t jolt your neck. So, the prognosis was to continue to be cautious but now I could set my actualization pyramid since I was going to be around a while. Complete my education, career, modeling and marriage.

I received my bachelor’s degree and began to work out to become an FBI agent or a police officer. I had interviews and psychological testing which was fine. The only set back I was having was upper body strength. Being diagnosed with arthritis made the agility course difficult.

After another small reoccurrence I chose a different career but not until after I was married. I was introduced to probation and it had all the challenges I wanted and more. Now I had conquered all of my goals. Now what?

I felt that the ultimate sacrifice that I could make was to give up my selfishness and attempt to conceive a child. This would be a lifetime commitment and it would give me the chance to prove science wrong. Granted I had already been married three times but had not delivered any children into any of the relationships. So, could I or can’t I was the only question. I could only hope that Faith was on my side.

    Chapter 1

After two year of marriage, we decided to get a dog. I felt that if my spouse could take care of a four-legged animal then he might be able to think about starting a family which would wind up being twins due to family history of both. We went to a pet store in the mall. Walking in, I saw her. She was a full blooded German shepherd and just eight weeks old. She was beautiful I named her LT before she was
