Finishing another long day at work, I showered as usual, lasering my legs before climbing into bed.

With my partner IB, now 31, working a nightshift in April last year, it meant that I had the evening to myself, perfect for my self-care routine.

However, as I tucked myself up in bed, I had an overwhelming feeling that something wasn’t right – something that I couldn’t put my finger on…
