One theme that echoes throughout this book is that God had been

preparing me for a personal encounter with Him. I recounted

how things were during my childhood years. Through a series of

circumstances, He set the stage and laid the foundation so He can

in the future shape me into whatever form He wishes. In almost

all of these testimonies, it’s clear that He (El Shaddai) wanted me

to understand what I can be through Him. He guided me through

endless crucibles, all for the purpose of allowing me to see His

greatness and His ability to transform my life. This book helps

to unveil the secret of the inner man, that carnal nature that is in

constant battle with the desire in you to do good. It explains that it

is absolutely possible to win the battle between good and evil. The

last chapter was very challenging to share because it exposes the

weaknesses that we sometimes choose to deny. This book brings

you face to face with your stubbornness and with one of the most

destructive traits lurking within—it’s called pride. You will be

surprised to discover how deeply it has embedded itself in your

consciousness, but you can get victory when you take action to

deliberately surrender to God. You will discover perhaps for the

first time that empowerment comes with surrendering. I wish you

This production is by no means a reflection of any skill or talent possessed by me. Had it not been for the patience and skill of my family, this product would not have come to fruition. They not only had to constantly turn the computer on for me but often before they retire, they made sure my last page was up and that everything was ready for me to proceed during the early morning hours. Therefore, I acknowledge the support of my wife Delaine and my two daughters Nicola and Sherene, along with my grandson Keanu, who were with me daily as I treked my way through. In as much as I spent tiresome hours writing and joggling my memory to unearth my ability to use grammar and structure sentences, had it not been for the input of my other daughters, Dacialois and Atarah, who guided me through the difficult editing process, this project would not be so penetrating as it is. So a generous thank you to my family.

I was born and raised in a Christian family many years ago in Guyana, South America. Growing up, I was fascinated by outdoor life and hands-on activities that required physical dexterity and creativity to accomplish. Being the son of a preacher, I was exposed to numerous religious activities at an early age, so it was no surprise that I developed an interest in theological discourses very early in life.

I experienced the passing of my father in my mid to late teens. As a result, I relocated to an industrial region and sought employment to help my mother. It was during those years that my interest in commercial vehicles surfaced; I was fortunate to have had several jobs that required a knowledge of driving. Little did I perceive that so many of my adult years will be spent as a commercial driver, appreciating the outdoors and beholding so much of nature while I traverse the highways. Almost all the testimonies mentioned in this book occurred outdoors. Could it be that my early experience in hands-on activities and outdoor events must have been dormant, waiting for the opportune time and being the channel through which God will communicate with me? He made us, we are His, and He wants to stay connected with us, and He knows how to attract our attention individually.

I pray that as you read this book, for those who are currently walking with God, that you fasten your grip securely, and for those who are not yet on that journey, that you will be inspired to join us and feel a connecting cord with God.
