    In this book I will show you that luck does not exist. At least, not as we normally understand it. Luck is not something that falls from the sky, that touches you or doesn't touch you, that depends on external or random factors. Luck is something that you create with your intelligence and your actions.

    Intelligence is the ability to understand reality, to analyze situations, to make good decisions, to solve problems, to learn and improve. Action is the ability to put your plans into action, to execute your ideas, to persevere and adapt, to create and transform.

    With intelligence and action you can create your own destiny. You can identify and seize the opportunities that come your way. You can choose the options best suited to your goals and values. You can execute your plans with efficiency, perseverance and creativity. You can evaluate your results, learn from your experiences and continuously improve.

    In this book I will show you how to do it. I will show you how confirmation bias, the halo effect and the gambler's fallacy work, which are the main psychological obstacles that prevent us from seeing reality as it is and make us believe in luck. I will explain how to identify and take advantage of the windows of possibility that open up in your path, how to choose the most appropriate options for your goals and values, how to execute your plans with efficiency, perseverance and creativity, and how to evaluate your results, learn from your experiences and continuously improve.

    This book is not a magic formula or a foolproof recipe. It does not guarantee success or happiness. But it offers you a way of thinking and acting that will help you take control of your life and become the protagonist of your story. I invite you to read it with an open mind, a critical attitude and a willingness to learn. And above all, I invite you to put it into practice.
