    Divine Order

I was studying the third chapter of Proverbs when verses 9 and 10 jumped out at me. "Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine." I began to meditate on those verses, and as I did, God began to show me biblical truths on receiving his best.

The first mention of firstfruits is in relationship to the Feast of Harvest in Exodus, chapter 23. I noticed that God wants his people to celebrate the harvest, and he wants to be included in the celebration. The word harvest means the gathering of ripe crops; firstfruits are the first ripe crops that come forth. It’s a biblical fact that God has a preference when it comes to the order of things, especially those things offered up to him.

While talking with the Lord, he asked me to imagine planet Earth before it existed, and my response was How do I do that? The Lord said that before anything existed, I first had to have an image in my mind. He said, let’s call it hope. Now, in order to bring the image into manifestation, the Holy Spirit has to be moving so when I speak the word the image in my mind manifests.

God told me that he is spirit and that his word is spirit, which is seed. Let’s get an understanding of seed. The seed is Christ Jesus. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. (Galatians 3:16) Not knowing that the seed (Christ) has been sowed in the earth will cause a mentality of the fallen nature to occur. Genesis 1:11–12 states, "And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind; and God saw that it was good." Did you notice that when God created the grass, herb, and fruit trees that they were fruitful already and that the seed was inside the fruit not separated? This lets me know that God has a divine way of multiplication without handling the seed but by dealing with fruit.

The word of God states in Galatians 4:9, But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

The Message Bible says it this way: Earlier, before you knew God personally, you were enslaved to so-called gods that had nothing of the divine about them. But now that you know the real God, or rather since God knows you, how can you possibly subject yourselves again to those paper tigers? For that is exactly what you do when you are intimidated into scrupulously observing all the traditions, taboos, and superstitions associated with special days and seasons and years.

Don’t get me wrong, I believe that some people just didn’t know any better so they fell into these things unaware. I have an understanding of creation and the divine order that has changed my relationship with the Father and has caused me to look at all that I receive from the Lord and others in a different perspective.

Mark 4:26 says, "So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; and should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear."

One thing the Lord pointed out to me was , that the earth brings forth fruit of herself. In order for the earth to bring forth fruit of itself, there needs to be an avenue in which the fruit of the earth can manifest itself. The avenue is called the fruit.

The Holy Spirit began to teach me about fruit and the earth. The firstfruit is an offering, which gives the sower, or the one giving the offering, an opportunity to experience a new level of increase. Simply because the word of the Lord declares, Your barns shall be filled with plenty and your presses shall burst forth with new wine. (Proverbs 3:9–10)

If the Kingdom of God is compared to a grain of mustard seed and the manifestation of that seed is greater than all other seeds, then the firstfruit offering, according to the above verse, has the ability to fill your barns with plenty and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. The reason it works is
