Introduction
The world of surrogacy is a realm often overlooked, shrouded in polarized perspectives. Some see it as a life-changing gift to families yearning for their dreams, while others view it with apprehension, fearing the yearning it might leave in the surrogate mother's heart. My journey as a surrogate has led me to believe that sharing this unique experience is essential.
Surrogacy wasn't a path I'd always envisioned for myself. It came to me serendipitously, yet it became an unexpected source of fulfillment. There was a profound joy in bestowing the gift of family upon another. Despite having my tubes tied after four children, I felt I could give something invaluable to those who struggled to conceive.
But this journey, like life itself, was a blend of highs and lows. Surrogacy, though, remains an enigma to many. My aim with this book is to illuminate the mysteries of this remarkable journey and make it less obscure to all.
This book chronicles my profound connection with Amy, a woman who emerged from a difficult chapter of her life to become a mother. Surrogacy may be unfamiliar territory, but fear not! That's precisely what this book is here to remedy.
In the pages ahead, I will unveil my personal odyssey through surrogacy, from the serendipitous discovery to the moment I cradled a newborn. While our perspectives on surrogacy may differ, one thing remains certain: I am thrilled to have played a role in helping families turn their dream of starting a family into a reality.

The Applicant
Ughhh! Back to my old faithful Craigslist! Job searching, for me, used to be like 1-2-3. Now that everyone is revising their resumes
or making up crap, as I like to call it, job searching feels like pure torture!
For some reason, jobs and I never got along well; either the women were too catty, the boss was too damn bossy, or waiting 8 hours to go home just wasn't an option. The number one problem, of course, was that the pennies they were paying me wouldn't dare cover the cost of raising four kids! This dang bulletin board, which my mom insists I have color-coded for each child,
proves that it was truly NOT enough money! Highlighted in pink -
