About the Author
Preface
My mission is to create a movement across America that changes everyday conversations and thoughts FROM subjects people can’t control TO the personal choices they can control.
I believe God wants His gift of free will used correctly.
The author Kirk Byron Jones says, "The ability to register and regulate our thinking requires both imagination and rationale.
"This ability is the most powerful ability we have.
"We have control over what we think about and how we think about it."
Jones continues: God could have made himself 100% responsible for us. But he didn’t. He made us response – able.
By accepting the challenge to Discover What Makes You Tick, you generate an opportunity to take control over your mind and life.
According to wise, successful people, the most important thing you can do is discover how you make choices.
It starts with discovering what makes you tick. Then you will know why you’re enjoying life, or not.
You need to get clarity on your beliefs, your values, your habits, your unique personality quirks and your character traits.
All those combined are the foundation from which you make decisions.
It’s the foundation from which you make choices.
Once you find out what makes you tick, you will know what you should continue doing because it helps you enjoy life.
And you will have discovered what you must change because it keeps you from enjoying life.
And you will begin thinking about what you have control over.
And we become what we think about.
The author Max Lucado writes: You are the air traffic controller of your mental airport.
Get a grip on your life and stop complaining about all of the things you can’t act on or control.
Get a grip on what you can control by discovering what makes you tick.
Let the coffee shop conversations begin about what you are working on to control your mind and life to yield a very enjoyable life.
You have the opportunity to decide to change one or more of your beliefs, values, habits, character traits, etc., so you will make choices differently, which will improve your life.
You have the opportunity to take control over your choices by discovering what makes you tick.
You have the opportunity to use God’s gift of free will. Give your intentionality a big nudge to discover what makes you tick!

My Mission
I expect to create a movement across America that changes everyday conversations and thoughts FROM subjects people can’t control TO the personal choices they can control.
I don’t just want to, I expect to!
What makes you tick is the foundation of why you choose what you choose.
It looks like this:
It’s the foundation of how you will make choices.
When you do the work to Discover What Makes You Tick, you’ll know why you are enjoying life, or not. We are in control of the choices of our life.
When you discover your beliefs, values, unique personality quirks, habits and character traits, you’ll have discovered what makes you tick.
All those rolled together are the foundation for why you have decided what you have decided.
You are free to choose, but the choices you make today will determine what you have, be, and do in the tomorrow of your life.
— Zig Ziglar
You are the air traffic controller of your mental airport.
— Max Lucado
In the end, we are our choices.
