A Tale of Tails and Trunks
Once upon a time, in the vibrant city of Varanasi, the local king adored his array of elephants. Among them, one particularly stood out - not just for its might but for its unique companion, a little stray dog. The dog initially came around for the morsels of rice that dropped from the elephant's mouth, but with time, their acquaintance blossomed into a beautiful friendship. The duo became inseparable; the dog would sleep curled by the elephant's foot, share bath time, and engage in playful antics, with the elephant joyfully swinging the dog with her trunk. They shared their meals together, and it became such that the elephant refused to eat unless her furry friend was by her side.
However, one day, fate took a harsh turn when an ill-tempered stable hand, drawn by a fleeting opportunity to make some quick money, sold the dog to a passing peasant. The absence of her companion left the elephant in utter despair. She became a shadow of her former lively self, refusing to eat, drink, or partake in her daily routines, and stood morosely in her stall, swaying from side to side, lost in the memories of the joyful times she shared with her friend.
The king, worried by the declining health and spirits of his favorite elephant, summoned his wise adviser to diagnose the problem. The adviser, after a thorough examination, concluded that the elephant was physically fine, indicating an emotional distress was at play. On inquiring with the elephant's caretaker, he discovered the recent loss of the dog which seemed to have cast a deep emotional scar on the elephant.
The adviser relayed his findings to the king, who felt helpless initially at the daunting task of finding a single dog in the vast city. However, the adviser concocted a smart plan. He suggested issuing a royal decree stating a hefty fine would be levied on anyone found harboring the dog from the royal stables. The proclamation did the trick, as the scared peasant swiftly set the dog free, who, without missing a beat, sprinted back to the royal stables and to his beloved friend.
The reunion was a sight to behold; the elephant, tears rolling down her cheeks, delicately cradled her furry friend with her trunk, expressing a joy that words could not. The duo relished their meal together once again, marking the end of the melancholic days. The elephant perked up, and their playful, carefree days resumed, proving yet again, that the essence of friendship holds the power to heal and rejuvenate spirits, be it of humans or animals.
Lessons:
The narrative depicts a touching saga that highlights the virtues of loyalty, friendship, and the emotional depth and capacity for love shared by all beings, whether on two legs or four. It subtly moves us to acknowledge and appreciate the unspoken bonds of camaraderie and love that enrich our lives. Amidst the modern-day hustle, where relationships often take a backseat, this tale is a gentle reminder to honor and cherish the beautiful connections we have, for they hold the power to heal, comfort and bring joy in the most unassuming ways. In a world driven by material pursuits, the essence of pure, unadulterated friendship is a treasure to hold onto.

Daydreams and Dragonflies
Once in a small village, there lived a boy named Soft Chimney. He loved playing in the nearby woods. One morning, he picked up a stick pretending it to be his sword and a bigger one as his make-believe horse. He ran through the woods until he was out of breath. Dropping his sticks, he saw a beautiful butterfly hopping from one flower to another.
Soft Chimney began chasing the butterfly, laughing and running around. The butterfly flew up and landed on his finger before flying off again. Tired from all the playing, Soft Chimney lay down on a bed of pine needles for a
