About this ebook

WORDS HAVE POWER

So, we might as well use them as leverage, rather than as wedges.

Just like "The Search for Wellness," which I penned 20 years ago, this is a book about leveling up. However, in this part of the discussion, we'll be focusing more on the how-to's of leveling up in every aspect of life. Some will use this book to achieve higher performance levels, while others will use it to break free.

Specifically, you will learn to:
-use words, language, & ideas to your favor
-talk yourself into your dreams, rather than out of them
-recognize "the big question," in life
-use language tools of empowerment
-use language techniques of empowerment
-establish directional momentum in life
-transform yourself over & over again

So congratulations on your decision to develop & discover your intrinsic personal power! On this journey, you will enjoy more freedom, more grace, and more joy in life. And as it is my honor to see you win marvelously, I look forward to celebrating your continued success!

    Discover Choice - Sean Hubbard

    BRIDGE

BRIDGE - when I wrote The Search for Wellness back in 2006, I was experiencing a range of emotions… I was somewhat dismayed that my sincere interest in helping people didn’t translate into more significant health advances beyond overcoming crises, such as strokes and heart attacks.

I remained surprised that the most common conditions leading to preventable disability & premature death were so lifestyle-related around the personal choices we are making as individuals in our society… I was puzzled as to how I should adjust my role as a physician in order to help people more… And I couldn’t stop asking myself why more professionals were not openly vocal about these topics…

I had developed an understanding that where most of us find ourselves stuck had less to do with fact deficits & knowledge deficits; Google brought more information to everyone’s fingertips immediately. And what I heard my patients referring to were variations of the theme of having little or no perceived choice in matters that concerned them (notions of limited choice).

So that’s pretty much how I closed out The Search for Wellness - essentially, I deduced that the search for wellness was the search for choice.

So, over the time that followed, I have centered my attention on how people develop this power of choice - that’s what this book is about.

But we live in a different world now than we did in the early 2000’s. Digitization and the internet have changed everything. Access to information, employment, services, vacations, rides, dating, groups, socializing, business, job searches, dinner, movies, music; basically, everything is easier to access, scalable, and more portable than ever in the history of mankind, due to technological advancement. And the average individual has way more leverage than we had way back when… (face palm).

You might well say we have more choices, now… You probably saw
