About this ebook

The Most Powerful Weight Loss Device Ever Made; The human brain.

Here is what readers are saying about this life changing book;

You are about to embark on a roadmap to weight loss that will put you in the driver’s seat once and for all. Claude’s premise is that weight loss success starts from a mental angle before a physical one.

I enjoyed that Viens included his own personal experiences and opinions from his own journey--it's much more motivating to me to know that someone has been in the same place I am and has been able to overcome it.

Some call it the law of attraction and author Claude Viens has written a great book on these ideas as they apply to weight loss. It really is all in your mind and there are some great concepts in this book, if applied, that are sure to bring positive results.

What makes this book different is that Claude Viens faces the mental aspect of losing weight head on by sharing his own struggle to take the weight off and how he overcame those bad habits that put him in an unhealthy situation to begin with. This book is very well written and will really get the reader to think about their lifestyle and how to change it for the better.

I wrote this book because I have been struggling with a weight problem all of my life. Recently I have decided to take the time to understand what was wrong with me and what I could do about it. In 2014 at age 50, I wanted to give myself the gift of good health and I was convinced that my condition and behavior were all controlled by my way of thinking. I figured if I could find a way to change my thinking patterns then maybe I would be able to control my weight and any other aspect of my life for that matter. I have made great progress and am now able to use my brain power to serve me instead of fighting against it. Today I tell the story of how I went from being a 46 year old overweight man living in a mobile home to a lean strong 51 year old man living in a $400,000 home. This book is all about documenting and sharing the process that led me to this fantastic result.So now my goal is to start a conversation with as many people as possible who share the same desire to clear away that weight problem that lies in our heads. Feel free to contact me to tell me what you think about my project and share any thoughts. I would love to hear from you and thank you personally for taking the time to look at my work. INTRODUCTION

    I dream of celebrating my one hundred and twentieth birthday surrounded by a generation for whom obesity is a disease of the past.

    I consider this book to be some kind of an instruction manual on how the human brain can be used to overcome once and for all that weight problem that has been haunting so many people for so long. At first, it was meant to be a reference guide for my personal use, a recollection of everything I have learned and discovered. For over thirty-five years, I have been struggling to find a way to deal with this problem. I’ve been through trial and error, small victories and big deceptions, hope and desperation. I stopped counting the numerous times I have tried and failed, or, should I say, I thought I had failed. It turns out I was only making myself stronger. The one question that has been tormenting my mind is why some people seem to adhere to a healthy way of life effortlessly, while others are naturally inclined towards habits that lead to obesity and health problems? In recent years, I have come to the conclusion that it must be something in the brain, a way of thinking that guides our behavior one way or the other. I became obsessed with the idea of finding a way to reprogram the brain to make it think differently to reproduce the mindset of those who don’t struggle with their weight. After many years of questioning, brainstorming, searching and experimenting, I have finally found how to shift my thinking in order to change my behavior. But achieving this is only a small part of the joy and reward for me. The best part is yet to come: sharing this knowledge with as many people as possible. This is the plain story of how it happened; how I went from being a 46-year-old, two-hundred-and-eighty-pounds man living in a mobile home to a lean, strong, healthy, two-hundred-and-twenty-pounds man living in a four-hundred-thousand-dollar home. Even though I may not live to be a hundred and twenty years old (we’ll have to wait and see but the good part is, whatever happens, no one can tell me I was wrong), my dream is still very strong and I am determined to take every overweight person in the world by the hand, one by one if I have to, and help them overcome this disease called obesity. Now, if my book can inspire but one person to change their life for the better, then it will have been worth the effort. That would make me the proudest writer ever.

    DISCLAIMER

    I don’t have any special training. I am not a doctor or a dietician, nor am I a psychiatrist. I do not have any type of degree and I am not trying to make people believe I have discovered some kind of revolutionary system or treatment. As a matter of fact, anyone who states that I am not qualified to write about mental and physical health issues and that I have no credibility whatsoever is probably right. As the rapper Eminem put it, Now go and tell these people something they don’t already know about me.

    I am here to share my personal experience with you; I want to tell you my story. I strongly believe that at least a small part of what I am about to say may help other people fulfill their desires. In the past, and present for that matter, I have been very inspired and motivated by reading about other people’s stories and experiences and I want to give some of it back to whoever may need it. Throughout the book I will seem to be giving precise directions to you, the reader, but please keep in mind that all of the instructions that are given were intended for me to follow. I’m not going to try to tell you what to do and I don’t claim to have the answers to all of your questions. As a matter of fact, I may not have answers to any of your questions but if I can get you to start asking questions then you may be on the path to seeking proper answers. Throughout this book I will talk about how I started asking questions and how I went about finding answers.

    I am not some positive thinking guru. I am not looking for fans or disciples. I don’t want to be the leader of crowds; I am more of a one on one type of person. Instead of giving people advice, I would rather say let’s brainstorm together and work on what’s already inside our heads.

    I am not some multi-millionaire who made a fortune out of selling get rich quick or loose twenty pounds in thirty days schemes. This is about reality, my reality. It is not my intention to make tons of money off desperate people. Over time, I have come to the conclusion that happiness does not lie in having money, or rather, in having too much money. Don’t get me wrong; I did not make a poverty vow. I live very comfortably, but I don’t feel the need to overspend or over own to be happy and fulfilled.

    This being said, I have been educating myself these past few years from books, articles and lectures. Maybe, in ten or twenty years from now, I will be smart enough to be able to find a scientific meaning to some of my writings … or not. Anyway, at this time I am not writing fiction or approved scientific facts. Just my observations and interpretations of this fascinating world we live in.
