    Divine Rescue

    Text:  Luke 24: 13-14, 18-21

"13 Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

18 Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days? 19 And He said to them, What things? So they said to Him, "The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, 20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death and crucified Him. 21 But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened.

    Holy Communion in mind

The disciples’ hopes about Jesus appeared dashed, and they were frustrated. Two of them journeyed away from where Christ had asked them to wait until they received power.

The journey to Emmaus can be likened to drifting away or backsliding. The disciples were drifting away from their destiny.

One of these two men going to Emmaus was Cleopas, a disciple. It would be expected that someone like him would remain focused and wait for the fulfillment of the promise. This tells us that it is possible sometimes for a child of God to feel like God is dead and that all is finished when the answers do not come when he expects them to. The other man, whose name was not mentioned- probably not a disciple; probably a brother in church, maybe a nominal Christian, also had his own experience. However, on their way and when they least expected, Jesus came along, brought light into their darkness, rescued their destinies, and saved them.

Are you confused today because of the happenings around you? Are you discouraged and feeling like these brethren, that God is far and cannot hear you?

I pray that amid your darkness, confusion, hopelessness, and helplessness, Christ shall appear in Jesus’ name.

    Jesus probably pretended to be going further, but they persuaded Him to stay. He stayed, and as they sat down and He broke bread, suddenly, they discovered He was the Lord;

Eyes opened! Evil veil destroyed! Vision sharpened! Soundness of mind restored!

Consequently, they turned back on their own and headed for Jerusalem- the home of peace.

What the word could not achieve, the bread achieved it. The communion table, the body of Christ accomplished it. Indeed, His blood brought rescue to their dying destinies.

He can do the same for you if you surrender to Him today and call upon Him.

It is written, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

    Prayer

Father, rescue my destiny in Jesus’ name.

Let the communion restore every deficiency in my body, soul, and spirit in Jesus’ name.

    Destroying Satanic Strongholds

    Text: Galatians 3:13-14; Colossians 2:14-15

Galatians 3: 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus’ Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Colossians 2: 14 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

I liken a stronghold to a standing order/judgment established and sustained to work against a person. It sometimes transcends generations, and it is usually supervised by a high-ranking demon called strongman- Luke 11:1-22, Matthew 12:29

    Examples of strongholds:

Oppression (lack, barrenness, poverty), ancestral spirit, witchcraft, curses.

    Prayer

Every stronghold of oppression in my life, be broken in Jesus’ name.

Household wickedness, my life is not your candidate. Pack your evil load and go in Jesus’ name.

Ancestral monitoring spirit, operating in my destiny, scatter in Jesus’ name.

You stubborn and prayer-resisting demon, oppressing my life, receive stones of fire and thunder in Jesus’ name.

Habitations of witchcraft in my family, life, and ministry be roasted to ashes in Jesus’ name.

Garment of evil pattern of non-achievement over my life, tear to pieces in Jesus’ name.

Garment of evil pattern of failure at the edge of breakthrough in my life, be roasted in Jesus’ name.

Demon of death and destruction, hanging around my life and family, what are you waiting for? Somersault and die in Jesus’ name.

I revoke every evil standing order over my life in Jesus’ name.

Stronghold of immorality in my life, be discovered and destroyed in Jesus’ name.

Stronghold of sickness in my life, be discovered and destroyed in Jesus’ name.

Stronghold of miscarriage (of children or good things) in my life, be discovered and destroyed, in Jesus’ name.

Stronghold of vision abortionists in my life, be discovered and destroyed, in Jesus’ name.

Stronghold of demonic incantations against my life, be demolished in Jesus’ name.
