In his private practice, he treats individuals, couples, families, adults and children with a wide variety of psychological problems. Over the years, he has made an extensive study of the mind games people play in a plethora of relationships.
Dr. Dalrymple has developed a new approach to the understanding of mind games, based on the energy dynamics of human communication and the original field of analysis he has formulated, which he coins, Quantum Field Psychology.

MIND GAMES PEOPLE PLAY
ONE: THE CHALLENGE
The young blonde woman stood outside the pyramidal building, looking at the brilliant sunlight reflecting from the smoked glass walls. Despite the noisy volume of passersby and traffic on the street, the building seemed to have a certain serenity that defied understanding.
She took a deep breath and drew back her shoulders. She pushed through the revolving door and entered the lobby. The light within was soft but brilliant. The air was dry and cool, soothing to her skin. She detected scents of rose and lilac. She walked to the reception desk and smiled as she said, Hello. I'm...
Ms. Lumina!
came the twinkling reply. Your uncle is waiting for you in the penthouse suite. Go right up.
The visitor was flattered. She nodded warmly and walked to the glass elevators. She entered the crystal chamber and punched the button for the twelfth floor. The elevator moved silently upward as if gravity had been suspended.
She watched the lobby drop beneath her, the plants and furniture echoing diminution. The digital display over the elevator door read 12 as a gentle voice said, Twelfth Floor, please.
Ms. Lumina walked to the stained mahogany door and was about to knock when the door whisked open. Come in, my dear Ariel,
boomed her uncle. He towered in the doorway, his large frame belying the gentle light beaming from his blue eyes. She gave him a huge hug. Bowing gracefully, he led her to a seat. The soft, sink furniture engulfed her.
She surveyed the room, noting the wrap-around windows giving views in all directions. Even the cathedral ceiling was glass. The view of the sky and the city was breath-taking. She could see the river winding past, cutting an artery through the muscle of concrete and the sinew of steel.
Before she could speak, her uncle held up his index finger, smiling playfully. He popped a six stack of laser discs in the octaphonic stereo system. Schubert began his idyllic Ava Maria, the sweet violin kissing the air. Ariel sat back in her chair, absorbing the beautific sounds as she studied her uncle.
Despite his sixty-odd years, he moved with the agility and power of a much younger man. He resumed his seat. He beamed at her through cherub cheeks, his sharp facial features framed by streaks of gray in his soft brown hair.
It's wonderful to see you again,
she said. She adjusted her business suit and brushed aside an errant strand of blonde hair. Her long tresses fell on her shoulders like sylvan rain. Majestic, perfect. How long has it been?
she asked.
Since you began graduate school, I believe. You moved to the East Coast and that was the last we saw of you. We've missed you.
A tear came to her hazel eyes, salting the golden-green flecks burning in her irises. And I missed you. I'm afraid I became so buried in working 100 hours a week that I...
No need to explain. I remember well my years beneath the wheel of academic zeal. But you! Graduated with honors! I'm so proud of you. Your MBA...
She blushed as she said, Was a lot of hard work. And now the interviewing process...
He leaned over a silver tray beside his chair and poured two cups of espresso coffee. He sliced a lemon and squeezed juice into the cups. He handed her a cup and raised his in a toast to her. He smiled and said, That's why I asked you to meet me here before we go to your graduation dinner.
She took the cup and sipped. Her ardent admiration turned to interest. Uncle, please. You've already paid for my education. I...
Your parents provided, darling, as I explained years ago. Before they passed on, they made me the executor of your trust fund.
She radiated at him. That was modest, uncle dear. I know you embellished it considerably. And you taught me so much, you prepared me for the competition at Harvard Business School. You taught me about resolving our inner conflicts and mastering our selves before we can presume to manage others. That gave me a power and sense of direction...
He smiled at her, his soft blue eyes alive with energy. You've learned well. Before we move on, how would you summarize the principles I taught you... especially those which helped you graduate summa cum laude?
Oh, no! I thought I was finished with exams,
she blushed. But, since you asked...let's see...first, you must set goals for yourself. You review your goals every day, reinforce yourself for things well done, and correct whatever needs to be changed. Listen carefully to other people and reserve judgment. Keep an open mind. Work hard at changing yourself, trying to be objective about your faults and merits.
He nodded appreciatively and said, "Excellent! You were always my best student. We must keep an open mind and revise our opinions and perceptions with each new piece of information because all perception is relative. Our cherished realities are often illusions, made of fixated emotions and false beliefs. This gives us a PERCEPTUAL PARALLAX, where we don't always see what we think we see."
She became excited and explored the thought. "That's right. What we believe to be true and what is actually true are often parallel in some way - but different. Or, we project onto situations what we think we see, regardless of what is there. Convinced our senses couldn't lie to us, we fail to see the process behind perception. A belief in objectivity is therefore totally subjective."
His blue eyes sparkled at her as he said, Precisely, and we can take that even a step further. We tend to create what we expect to happen or what we fear will happen, and then perceive our creations as if they had been reality all along. Since we truly create what happens to us but usually fail to realize it, we must learn to replace negative thoughts and feelings with positive ones and find the good in all things. We then make our desires into happy realities. Otherwise, we will blindly make our fears into sad and painful realities.
Her voice was soft with overtones. It's sad so many people fail to realize that.
He nodded, then sipped his coffee. He said, The best business deal equally benefits all parties involved. Cooperative competition is based on win-win situations, which are fair and balanced for everyone. This eliminates war-like attitudes which only cause harm.
Ariel spoke with a touch of compassion. We are each born to be free, not shackled by the emotional prisons engendered by ourselves or others.
He smiled, shaking his head. I don't know if you're psychic or if I led you to make that statement. But it's a perfect lead-in to what I wanted to discuss with you today...
Oh?
she said, wanting to hear more.
It concerns the portion of your father's will you don't know about.
Ariel was surprised. She shifted uncomfortably in her chair. A plane passed overhead. She watched the jet trails
