I am Queen Helen. 

In this book, I will inspire business owners, and those aspiring to become business owners, to reflect on matters of the heart, to UPSURGE and acknowledge their source, shift mindsets to identify and neutralize barriers, and bring conviction in comfort as it produces paralysis.

This book has challenged me to address the feelings that lie deep within myself and dispel all thoughts of self-doubt as to how I, Queen Helen, would be tasked with such an assignment to be a guide for others, teach manifestation and channel energies techniques. This book is the blueprint as to how I have tapped into greatness and will be reflective of where I am going as it pertains to family, business, and endeavors. You will see how miracles manifest. John 10:37-38 "If I am not doing my Father’s works, don’t believe Me. But If I am doing them and you don’t believe Me, believe the works. This way you will know and understand that the Father is in Me, and I am in the Father."  I challenge you to connect to the source - for me, the source is God, Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Nissi, Alpha and Omega, The Creator. It is essentially important that you have a desire to allow the energy in your life to connect you, in peace and harmony, and to discover the possibilities. I have truly unplugged doubt and replaced it with courage. I present this testament to you and I acknowledge that I cannot do this alone, without God or my team.

There is joy in becoming, and you will begin to comprehend that there is a greater power which allows the ability to transform thoughts into material form and substances. You are gods John 10:35. The experiences of manifestation that I will discuss in this book are the mind-blowing results of events that resulted from mere thoughts and written plans for the desires of my life. This book is fulfilling that plan. While taking on this task requires courage and comes with great responsibility, I have no doubts and embrace the power within. I’ve been trained since I was a child to trust and believe in the omnipresent. You’ve been trained too, to do the same thing, and we’ll discuss this radical faith in REAL Character. Some of the results that I have seen have been instant, and some have taken years to manifest. But the fact is, they did manifest. I know that these principles work. Each of us have the power to change and control what happens in our life; those who do not tap into it have no desire to plant their seeds of potential. When you manifest, you learn to tap into spiritual awareness acknowledging that you have the power of change.

Every success story comes down to the same key drivers – hard work, focus, and determination. It doesn’t matter who you are, what you look like, or where you live; if you want it bad enough, you’ll find a way. It also doesn’t matter what discipline you are pursuing: actor, musician, doctor, lawyer, rapper, or athlete. My success has come through real estate.

I wasn’t an overnight success, this wasn’t an easy path. Since I intentionally chose this life, I deliberately worked for it too. I didn’t become Queen Helen without overcoming some herculean obstacles. I didn’t allow those obstacles to keep me from my goal.

In every chapter of this book, I give you Kingdom Lessons. Each Kingdom Lesson has been instrumental in helping me to center my life and move into my destiny. With every Kingdom Lesson, I’ve added a kingdom principle and scripture. The goal is to provide real life tips to inspire, motivate and most importantly, achieve success.

In REAL Life, I’ll tell you about a miracle I witnessed and share my humble beginnings growing up with my grandparents and the fun-filled summers spent with my dad. I’ll tell you about some of the hardships I endured in life and some of the rewards that made it all worth it.

In REAL eSTATE of mind, you’ll get to know my story. You’ll learn how a young, black girl from Cheraw, South Carolina became the broker-in-charge of a successful Real Estate firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, grossing over $35 Million in sales, in just under two years and employing over twenty agents and growing.

In REAL Pain, I share with you some of the most painful moments of my life—heartache, domestic abuse, and rape. These moments could have been to my detriment, but I persevered and used them as motivation to reach my destiny.

In Real Love, I talk about finding everlasting love with my husband, Tremayne. Like most couples, we have endured some difficulties, and early in our marriage, we were blindsided by a chronic condition. I also talk about loving yourself, so you can love others, and finding your love language.

In REAL Change, I take the first steps to becoming Queen Helen. I talk about preparing to make the shift from nursing to real estate. You will learn the basics of real estate, test taking tips, exam topics, and what happens after you obtain your license.

In REAL Plan, I chronicle my path and plan to become successful in real estate. Have you ever thought your purpose was one thing but turns out you were completely wrong? I did! I thought real estate was my purpose, but God had an even greater plan for me. I share why finding your purpose positions you in life, and brings peace of mind.

In REAL Boss, I reveal what motivates me and keeps me grounded as the boss of a multimillion-dollar firm. I wake up every day with a renewed desire to motivate, inspire, coach, and train my agents. When it feels scary to jump in, that’s exactly when you jump, otherwise you end up staying in the same place. I want you to learn from my mistakes as well as my best power moves. In business, there is a definite rule for failure – failure to try. You must get up every day with a plan. Not only that, but you must evaluate risk versus reward. You’ll take risks – sometimes, you will succeed and sometimes, you will fail. It’s how you handle failure that counts. You can’t stand still and expect to become the next Robert Kiyosaki. Being in business is forward moving and so is life.

In REAL Culture, I discuss the movement that is UPSURGE. I give you the driving force behind UPSURGE, and why my brainchild of Community, Culture, and Collaboration is setting the standard in the real estate industry. UPSURGE is set apart from all the firms in the industry, and we never settle for mediocre. We strive for excellence.

In REAL Inspiration, my source of strength, power, and determination is revealed, my faith. I am the proud descendent of a long line of pastors who preach with clarity, passion and fire. There was no way I could have grown up in my family without knowing from whom all my blessings flow. I am not ashamed to give Him praise!

In REAL Determination, I detail the five things you need to know about determination. If you are not determined, you may as well give up now. What’s the number one reason agents fail? This chapter gives the answer and the keys to success.

In REAL Character, I will share how your behavior in business is a reflection of God. I will provide the framework for making ethical decisions with a kingdom mentality of righteousness, justice, and love.

In REAL Relationships, I encourage you to identify and connect with the source and how to prioritize it in your business. The right relationships can propel your business and life in the right direction. The wrong relationships can distract or destroy your business and your life.

In REAL Preparation, I talk about allowing things to happen in God’s timing but being prepared to move when he says to move. Knowing when to move and knowing when not to is crucial to your success.

This book is your permission to shift out of the programmed conditioned way of thinking, complacency. It’s the permission to abandon your prior condition of thinking, which is of fear and self-doubt. I am a woman of faith, and I give you the Kingdom Lessons. These lessons are the lessons that I use in my personal and business life. You have permission to create the grandest vision of your life because you will BECOME what you BELIEVE. I give you permission to explore my theories, apply them in your daily life and align yourself with the principles. We are all capable of manifesting. You have permission to press the gas.

Palm Sunday 2020, I witnessed a miracle.

Helen. Mama Gnat said my name with an eerie calmness and monotone voice. She continued, telling me that my father was not breathing or moving. I thought it was strange because that wasn’t her nature when there was an emergency. I told her to call 911.

He’s gone. I heard a voice say. The voice didn’t belong to Mama Gnat.

My father lives in Thomaston, Georgia about 318 miles south of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is married to Mama Gnat, the woman he married after my parents divorced. She is a sweet, kind woman whom I love dearly. Dad is a pastor with a God-given sense of spiritual discernment and anointed wisdom. I adore and respect him. We have a special and close bond. Palm Sunday 2020 confirmed exactly how close.

So, when the phone call came, it rocked me to my core, but I had been watching his sermon via social media while at home in Charlotte, NC. In fact, I had helped set the church up with virtual services since we were still in the middle of the Covid pandemic.

He’d been virtual for over a year, and I was helping him and Mama Gnat with the technical parts of broadcasting the service. They were the only ones in the church building. It was an eerie day. The lights kept flickering, threatening to lose connection. My dad was wrapping up his sermon -- God is a waymaker: A light in the darkness, and I started to play the song Miracle Worker. At that moment, I watched my dad collapse to the floor. The connection was lost, and the screen went black. That’s when my phone rang with what sounded like a very calm Mama Gnat telling me he wasn’t breathing or moving. It was then when I heard the voice say, He’s gone. The voice that didn’t belong to Mama Gnat.

A stillness came over my body, but still managed to put my face to the floor, and though I was physically in Charlotte, spiritually I was in Thomaston. I could see my father on the floor by the front left pew. There was no pulpit and three, throne like, chairs. Also, there were two men and others in the pews. I couldn’t see their faces, they were imprinted in my memory as blurred images. My father got up and walked to the front door, and I began to follow him. The graveyard that’s across the street wasn’t there. His truck was parked to the left of the church, and it was a bright, sunny day. Where the actual cemetery would have been, there was a beautiful green pasture. I looked at my father, and I said, You are okay. At that moment, the vision ended. I was physically and mentally back in Charlotte.

My dad was taken to the hospital by ambulance. There they confirmed he had a concussion, and he didn’t know who he was for several days. They ran test after test and never knew what caused him to collapse. He eventually got better and present day, he is back in
