Predictive Techniques of 10th house - Saket Shah
Aries Sign in 10th house
The SUN will be exalted in the tenth house. Both the planet and the house represent status, power, eminence, government, and honour: Exalted Sun will therefore promote all of these. The Sun represents the father of the individual. He will also be eminent and well placed. Saravali says that the individual will be fond of travelling and he will have a good constitution. The Sun owns the second house from the ascendant. The individual will belong to an eminent family. He will be very wealthy and will enjoy much power. His wealth will come through his position and power. This is not a particularly good position for the mother of the individual. She may face trouble from the family of the individual. The Sun in Aries between 0° and 6°40’ will give property through his profession and position. The individual will be happy on account of his wealth and position when the Sun is between 20° and 30° in Aries. The Sun in contact with the Moon will add to the eminence and power of the individual. The mother of the individual will also exercise power. The Sun in Aries between 6°40’ and 20° will ensure good returns to the maternal uncle of the individual from abroad. The Sun will represent the speech of the individual when it is in contact with Mercury. He may have a job that involves oratory or use of speech. He could be a professor. The Sun in contact with Jupiter will be interesting as Jupiter owns the sixth house that, inter alia, represents fire. The Sun is a karaka for it. Hence the Sun will represent fire. Placed in a house of profession it will relate the profession of the individual to fire. Jupiter owns the ninth house of father. The Sun is the karaka for father. Hence the Sun in exaltation in the tenth house will give an eminent and powerful father: He will be long lived and wealthy. The individual will be good looking when the Sun is in contact with Venus. He may possess high end cars. The Sun in contact with Saturn will represent the profession of the individual. He may have a livelihood that has been traditionally followed by his family.
The MOON in Aries will relate the ascendant to the tenth house. This shows that the individual will experience power, high position, and authority. This will be most noticeable when the Moon occupies the sign in Krittika constellation. The individual will travel much in connection with his profession. He may have a quick temper. The waxing Moon is a naturally beneficial planet. It will promote the affairs of the tenth house. The individual will be known for his good behavior. He will be successful at what he does. His work environment will be pleasant. Such good results may not appear when the Moon is waning. He will have an artistic mind. Ganga says that the individual will have a happy home. The Moon projects aspect to the fourth house. As it is also the karaka for mother, mind, and home, it will represent all these when it occupies the tenth house. The mind will be agile and sharp. There will be many changes in home. The Moon in Bharani will give beautiful mother and an elegant home. The Moon in contact with Mars will raise the temper. The Moon in contact with Mercury will give a profession that involves writing. The Moon will, with this contact, also represent the sleep of the individual. If Saturn is also in contact with the Moon there would be inadequacy of sleep.
MARS will be in its own sign and in its mooltrikona sign in the tenth house. It is powerful in this position. The individual will join a uniformed service. He may have an angry disposition. Mars in Bharani will relate the profession to entertainment field. The profession will yield good income. Mars in Krittika is capable of giving much wealth. The younger siblings of the individual will also be well off. They may join him in his profession. Mars projects aspect to the fourth house and is therefore representative of property. As it is strong it will bring in much property in the life of the individual. Mars in the sign between 0° and 3°20' will influence the children of the individual. This influence will be beneficial to them. They will be well setup in life. It is possible that the eldest child of the individual may take up his profession in association with the individual. Mars is a planet capable of causing injury too to the children of the individual as it occupies the sixth house from the fifth. This may happen if the fifth house has influence of a naturally malefic planet. The individual will study mathematics and engineering when Mars is in contact with Mercury and he will do well at his studies. He will be learned in his professional matters.
MERCURY will be in a neutral sign in the tenth house. Its karakatwa will not find full expression. The speech, ability to write, and learning of the individual will not be very much above average. Mercury projecls a friendly aspect to the fourth house. In the context of this house Mercury will represent education of the individual. Hence his scholastic performance will be satisfactory. His maternal uncle will lead an average life. He is likely to take up business as his profession at which his performance may be mediocre. He may have talent for automobile engineering and machines in general. Horasara supports this statement. He may be good at mathematics. Mercury owns the third house of journey and sixth house of injury from the house it occupies. Mercury is in a movable sign of Mars. Hence the individual may get hurt on a journey in the period of Mercury. His writing may cause controversy in the period of Mercury. Mercury in contact with Jupiter will represent the maternal uncle. He will be a partner in the profession of the individual. Mercury in contact with Venus will give good results in respect of business in its period. The individual may have several sexual liaisons during this period. Mercury owns the twelfth house. Mercury in contact with Saturn will be an agent for loss or change. It may cause changes in jobs.
JUPITER will be in a friendly sign in the tenth house. Its karakatwa will influence the profession of the individual. The individual will have an urge to innovate. He will be creative in his approach. He will be energetic and would strive to achieve success in full measure. However, he will not adopt short cuts or unfair means to succeed. The conduct of the individual will be fair and without blemish. Jupiter owns the ninth house in the chart. Hence Jupiter governs the good fortune of the individual. That good fortune will come to play in the field of his career. The individual will succeed at his profession and will earn very well from it as Jupiter projects aspect to the second house of wealth. We have however to keep in mind that Jupiter owns the sixth house from the ascendant. This is the house of enemies and disputes. Jupiter in a sign of Mars will therefore indicate that the enemies of the individual will create problems for him in his profession and he will face many disputes. When Jupiter is in contact with Saturn the profession will have a legal input to it. Jupiter owns the sixth house from the ascendant. In a sign of Mars it will indicate enemies and disputes. The enemies will cause trouble in his profession and there could be litigation. Saravali states that the individual will be known for his deeds and profession but he will also have enemies. Jupiter in Bharani will be favourable as it would ensure success at and good gains from profession. Jupiter projects aspect to the fourth house. It is the karaka for happiness. In
