Predictive Techniques of 8th house - Saket Shah

    Aries Sign in 8th house

The SUN will be exalted in the eighth house. It is the owner of the twelfth house that represents a temple. As the Sun is a karaka for it this position means the individual may be interested in occult religious practices done in a temple. The elder sibling takes up a job in government and he rises to a high position in it. The younger sibling of the individual could get injured by fire. The Sun in Aswini will make the individual interested in occult practices. The Sun in Bharani will represent the father of the individual. The placement of the Sun in the eighth house will cause some trouble to him. As the Sun is exalted the trouble could be limited and could be caused by his fiery temper: The Sun may also represent eye of the individual in this constellation. When it is under adverse influence the individual may develop eye trouble. The aspect of the Sun on the second house will be debilitated. The Sun will not help the individual financially. Garga states that the individual will have a peaceful end. The Sun in contact with the Moon will give an eminent elder sister. The Sun in contact with Mars may cause death of the younger sibling by fire or weapon. The Sun in contact with Mercury shows that the individual will face financial trouble through the government. He may hold a high position. He may be given much honour after his death. Mercury owns the ascendant. Hence the Sun in contact with Mercury will represent the person of the individual. He may be a cruel person. The Sun in contact with Jupiter will represent the heart of the individual since Jupiter is the owner of the fourth house and the Sun is the karaka for it. The individual may die of heart malfunction. The Sun in contact with Saturn shows that the longevity of the individual will be inadequate. The Sun in contact with Rahu may give health problems to the individual that are difficult to diagnose. The individual may suffer from drug reaction, misuse of intoxicating and hallucinatory drugs and use of poison. He will also be prone to serpent bite. These could be fatal.

The MOON will relate the eleventh house to the eighth. It is a karaka for mother and mind of the individual. It also signifies home. Its location in a trik house will therefore not be good. The mother of the individual or his elder sibling may meet with a water accident. The individual will be restless, will have flashes of anger, and he may have short attention span. The eighth house representing death has the owner of the eleventh house of elder sibling. If Saturn is involved in this combination death of the sibling is possible. When Jupiter is involved there is likelihood of the individual gaining through legacy or insurance. He may get a lottery. The Moon in eighth is an indication that there may be balarishta according to Jyotish Makarand. The second house stands for eye and the Moon is the karaka for it. Hence the aspect of the Moon on the second house will act on the eye of the individual. There may be injury to the eye. The Moon in contact with Saturn may cause trouble in the eye. The eighth house is second fiom the seventh house. It therefore stands for the face and eye of the spouse of the individual. The Moon in a sign of Mars will give a fair and pink complexion to the spouse. The eighth is the fourth house from the fifth and therefore represents home to the eldest child of the individual. As both the Moon and An'es are highly movable, there may be many changes and shiftings for the eldest child. The Moon in Aswini will give psychic powers to the individual. The Moon in Bharani will give an imaginative and artistic mother.

MARS will be in its own moo/tn'kona sign in the eighth house. It will be strong and according to Bhrigu it will confer good longevity. It will be an agent for killings and destruction as both the planet and house stand for these. A planet in the eighth house shows the nature and cause of death of the individual. Mars in the eighth will cause death by weapons. Jyotish Makarand says that the individual may die in war. Such persons die on operation table. Garga expects death by fire. Mars is very strong representative of younger siblings as it is a karaka for them and it owns the third house. When Mars has adverse influence of a naturally malefic planet the younger siblings will suffer. Mars is also karaka for property. The individual may have trouble or worry on this score. Mars projects a debilitated aspect to the eleventh house creating possibility of injury to the elder sibling. It may kill the elder siblings when it is in contact with Saturn. In contact with Jupiter it will represent property as Jupiter owns the fourth house and Mars is the karaka for it. Its aspect to the eleventh house will occasion gain of property though of average significance as line aspect will be of debilitated nature. Mars in Bhrigu will give good looking spouse. Mars in Krittika may raise the status of the family of the spouse. Mars in contact with Mercury will give a sharp tongue to the spouse. This is also not good for the maternal uncle of the individual. Mars in Aries between 0° and 3°20’ will give gains to the elder sibling through his profession. Mars in the sign between 3°20’ and 16°40' will place the elder sibling in the armed forces. Mercury in the sign between 16°40’ and 30° may induce the individual to write.

MERCURY will be in a neutral sign. It is a naturally beneficial planet therefore it will try to promote the affairs of the house but it is in an adverse house therefore its karakatwa and the affairs of the houses that it owns will face setback. Bhrigu therefore says that the individual will have good longevity but Mercury is not strong here hence the addition to longevity will be marginal. Mercury owns the ascendant. It will join the ascendant to the house of death. It may cause trouble for the individual. It is also the owner of the tenth house of profession. There will be breaks in the career of the individual and he may face setbacks and disappointments in his profession. Lalkitab says that the individual will suddenly face setbacks in his profession and he may suffer from nervous disorder: We know that the eighth house stands for unexpected events. Mercury stands for profession. Hence unexpected developments in profession are likely. Mercury placed in the second house of spouse will give her unpleasant speech. Mercury is the karaka for maternal uncle. This is an unsatisfactory location for Mercury. The maternal uncle will face unsatisfactory time. Mercury in contact with Saturn will cause death of maternal uncle. Saturn owns the sixth house. Mercury in the context of the sixth house will denote maternal uncle and Saturn in the context of the eighth house will denote death. Mercury is the karaka for speech. Its aspect in the context of the second will denote speech. As the house has a sign of Venus, the individual will have pleasant speech. He may have musical talent too. Mercury in the sign between 0° and 6°40’ may give him interest in writing. The
