The Wheels of Success

Life is a journey characterised by the pursuit of happiness, peace and prosperity. The wheels that carry through to a successful life grind slowly and persistently, sometimes without the knowledge of the labouring human race. The lubricant to the wheels of success is a task well done in a supportive environment. It is an invitation to perform all tasks with heart and soul. One task performed with the highest degree of commitment has the value of transforming a whole generation. That one task at hand is the opportunity called the wheel of success. Therefore, take care of the environment; the environment takes care of you.

This is Success – Take it

From youthful age to graceful old age, humanity strives for success and greatness. The means to these ends is to embrace the opportunity called CAPITAL. In a country town, a young lady went to an established businessman, seeking help on how to start and grow a business. She said, Sir, what can I do to start and grow a big successful business?

The old man looked at her and said, Sit down … You want a big, successful business … Well … You need CAPITAL.

I have capital, enough to make a start … the young lady answered enthusiastically.

The old man, after thinking carefully for a while, said, Capital you may have, but you need CAPITAL to start and grow a big successful business. This means you need: Choice of the business; Action plan; Persistent desire to achieve your goals; to provide Inspiration to the support teams; Trust that you will realise your dream; Ability to dedicate time and energy to your business; and to Live the life of your dreams – once you are blessed with a big successful business, live a good life, with family and friends, as a way of gratitude.

But, sir … the young lady said, I just need some practical tips on how to achieve success.

The old man, swinging a little bit on his chair, said, This is success … Take it.

Making Discovery Island the Greatest

The year 2122...the poorest man from birth with nothing to lose knew it would be a long boring day...because his jiggers’ feet were oozing with pus...and his right knee was bleeding...His tiny grass-thatched house was bending…almost collapsing...His pots were all empty...His mud walls had huge gaps in them...His door made of reeds was already half eaten by termites...His compound was bushy...and his stomach empty...He had not eaten for five days, but that did not matter...He thought peacefully about the journey...a journey of about five days...by small reed boat...to Discovery Island...an island which, according to legendary tales,...was the wealthiest and greatest of all...The poorest man had to make a rare journey...to see for himself and others...the wealthiest and greatest island...

While singing the song Reinsp, composed by his great grandmother in antiquity, he packed his small greasy sisal sack...In it he put a small clay cup...a small clay plate...a small calabash and a small worn book...The Book of Revelations...Then, facing the distant horizon, he said a prayer...a prayer to the Great Ancestors...to guide his journey...After his solemn prayer, he walked slowly to the shore, which was about five kilometres away...At the shore, he found an old reed boat, abandoned by itinerant fishermen...He boarded the small boat and calmly paddled into the unknown...to discover and to see...for himself and others...the wealthiest, greatest island...He paddled peacefully...empty stomach, oozing jiggers’ feet, bleeding knee...but that did not matter...the journey was so important...a journey to discover the wealthiest and greatest island of all...

As he paddled, he thought of the five days and five nights the journey would take...according to legendary stories...He became worried but not so worried...He had the determination...Suddenly, a gentle breeze...then a gentle wind...The wind led his boat gently westwards...In the process he had an inner feeling...that the famous legendary island might be very far away...or...it might be very near...As he was still thinking, he saw a harbour at a distance...The wind was still blowing gently...The more he moved closer, the more he realised it was no ordinary harbour...It was the most advanced, luxurious harbour he had ever seen...He paddled calmly to the shore, where he was received by the shore guards...They questioned the reason for his mission...He said he had no mission really...He looked around...he saw written in bold letters: Discovery Island...Welcome. At that point, the poorest man became radiant...because he realised he was already on Discovery Island...so far...so far...

The shore guards took him by road to the Information Centre...The car was luxurious...A ten-seater huge SUV, black in colour, tinted glass, huge wheels, royal leather seats...and brand new...On the way, he saw twelve-lane roads...well tarmacked...He saw sidewalks, jogging lanes, cycling lanes, beautiful street lights and beautiful trees along the wide roads...Also along the beautiful roads were beautiful homes in well-manicured compounds...The scenery was so beautiful, well planned...well designed and maintained...Everybody was visibly wealthy...

The Information Centre was in the middle of the city...a magnificent city of thousands of skyscrapers...All towering to heights never seen before...at least two hundred floors and above...with glass and glitter...Everything was so clean, so well maintained that it all looked new...The Information Centre was on the ground floor of a two-hundred-and-fifty-floor building...At the reception was an elderly lady...who had worked there for fifty years...She had seen the Island grow from her youth...She was kind enough to narrate a detailed story of the Island’s journey of growth and development...She said...

"Our ancestors landed on these shores in the year 2022...one hundred years ago...They came with nothing...except their bare hands and fishing boats...They landed here in the morning of 1st January 2022...and knowing that one way leads to another way...they chose to stay...The natives…who were then few in number...welcomed them gladly...The opportunities were enormous...There was timber...There was gold...There was fish...There was bronze...There was cobalt...There was silver...There was arable land...There were diamonds...There were enormous opportunities...They had known from their youth that those natural blessings were indeed THE CAPITAL...

Soon after, they began to organise THE CAPITAL...through the ART of comprehensive PLANNING...as follows...

4.1 POPULATION

By then, the population was about four hundred million people (400,000,000 people) ... Reliable research shows that a population increases by half in twenty years...That means...

a. In 2002...the population was about two hundred million people (200,000,000 people) ...

b. In 2022...the population was about three hundred million people (300,000,000 people) ...

c. In 2042...the population was about 450,000,000 people ...

d. In 2062...the population was about 675,000,000 people ...

e. In 2082...the population was about 1,012,500,000 people. ..

f. In 2102...the population was about 1,518,750,000 people ...

g. In 2122...today...one hundred years later...the population is 2,278,125,000 people ...

At that time, in 2022, there were two main approaches to organising CAPITAL...These were jobs...and businesses...

Of the population of 400,000,000 people...100,000,000 were children and youth below the age of eighteen...

• 100,000,000 people were in JOBS in either the public or private sector...

• 200,000,000 people were in BUSINESSES as innovators; inventors; investors; chain store owners; agriculturalists; industrialists; finance; educationists; architects; engineers...and so many more...

In JOBS...the minimum wage was $20 (twenty dollars) per hour...

• Per day = $(20 x8) = $160

• Per week = $(160 x 5) = $800

• Per month = $(800 x 4) = $3,200

• Per year = $(3,200 x 12) = $38,400

Total Annual Income from JOBS ...

$(38,400 x 100,000,000 people)

= $3,840,000,000,000 (trillion) ...

At a Taxation Rate of 15%... Annual Revenue was...

$(3,840,000,000,000 x 15%)

=$576,000,000,000 (billion)...

In BUSINESSES...Focused Businesses...The minimum annual gross income per Business was $1,000,000 (one million dollars) ...the equivalent of owning two restaurants...each serving two hundred people per day...at $10 per meal...

The Total Annual Gross Income from BUSINESSES...was...

= $200,000,000,000,000 (trillion)...

At a Taxation Rate of 15%...Annual Revenue was...

= $30,000,000,000,000 (trillion)...

In 2022...thirty trillion dollars was realised from the TAXATION of BUSINESSES...A plan was drawn up to INVEST the REVENUE annually... Money lends at 6%...

a. Five-Year Plan

$(30,000,000,000,000 x 5 years x 6%)

= $9,000,000,000,000 (trillion dollars – profit income)

b. Ten-Year Plan

$(30,000,000,000,000 x 10 years x 6%)

= $18,000,000,000,000 (trillion dollars – profit income)

This implies that in 2032...the income from INVESTMENTS...was $18,000,000,000,000 (eighteen trillion dollars) ...
