The Cases of Detective Manuel Soto - Coledown Bilingual Books
Intrigue on the Streets of Madrid
Rain fell on the cobbled streets of Madrid, creating an aura of mystery in the air. In the elegant parlor of the Hotel Reina Victoria, a diverse group of guests had gathered to witness the presentation of the latest book by the famous mystery novelist, Victoria Belmonte.
Among the attendees were the distinguished Mrs. García, the handsome detective Manuel Soto, and the enigmatic gentleman Ricardo Mendoza. As the sound of applause faded away, Victoria Belmonte stood up to thank her audience, but before she could say a word, a scream echoed through the room.
He's dead!
exclaimed Mrs. García, pointing toward the dark corner of the room. All present turned to discover the lifeless body of an unknown man, a dagger embedded in his chest.
Detective Manuel Soto quickly approached the body and examined the crime scene. It seems we've stumbled upon a real mystery,
he murmured to himself.
Inspector Soto interviewed the attendees one by one. Each had a solid alibi, but they also harbored hidden secrets that could have driven them to commit murder. Mrs. García, a wealthy elderly woman, confessed that the deceased had been blackmailing her over a dark secret from her past. Ricardo Mendoza, the enigmatic gentleman, seemed to have connections to the world of espionage, raising suspicions about his presence at the hotel. Even
