About this ebook

For many years I’ve known that I was meant to write this book. I didn’t know the exact reason, but I knew that I was meant to tell the story of the asbestos in the cooling towers, the importance of righteous leaders, and my experiences with the signs and wonders of God. Then, on June 19, 2021 the purpose of this book evolved, when God, in His Triune Being, confirmed to me that yes indeed I was meant to write this book. God gave me many prophetic words to include in this book. God’s Word given to me on 6/21/2021: “It is time to enact and react to the changing of the times. These are the days of the LORD your God. You are to follow my ways and not the ways of the enemy. It should be clear for all to see what is going on in the natural world around you…When leaders provide wrongdoing and no-one is showing outrage, that is outrageous. Grievous actions have taken place all around this great country and it is time for what has transpired in the past and what is being allowed to currently happen to be revealed and dismantled and those held to justice.”

Petunia Rose

The Author is many things: Among them, a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. By profession, a school psychologist. She is not a gifted writer however, as she humbly confesses. On the contrary, writing has always been challenging for her. “Why did God call on me to write this book,” she wondered. She didn’t know the answer. She was simply being obedient as she began the task of compiling the words on these pages.

    PREFACE

For many years I have known that I was meant to write this book. I didn’t know the exact reason, but I knew that I was meant to tell the story of the asbestos in the cooling towers, the importance of righteous leaders, and my experiences with the signs and wonders of God.

Then, on June 19, 2021 the purpose of this book evolved, when God, in His Triune Being, confirmed that yes indeed I was meant to write this book.

It was around 3 a.m. when I was awakened from my sleep as God was telling me, Get up Get up Get up. I heard the words not audibly, but in my spirit, and I could see the words flash as a vision in my mind. I got out of bed, picked up my Bible, notebook, and pen that I kept on my nightstand, and moved slowly and quietly in such a way as not to wake my husband. Then, I walked downstairs and sat on the couch in our family room. I placed my Bible on the ottoman, rested my notebook on my lap, and with my pen in hand, I asked, Father, do you have a word or words for me, or words meant for others, and a Scripture verse? I asked the question, then sat quietly and waited for God’s response.

I heard the words, Apostasy will be Ephesians 3:6 in my spirit and saw the words in my mind’s eye. I wrote the date along with the words in my notebook as I typically did. Then, I looked up the definition of apostasy and recorded it in my notebook, as well as the Ephesians 3:6 Scripture verse as follow: 6/19/2021 Apostasy: 1) Turning away from Christ. 2) An abandonment of a previous loyalty. Ephesians 3:6 And this is God’s plan, both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body and both share in the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.

My morning prayer time has followed that pattern for many years. I ask God for a word or words and a Scripture verse. He gives me a word or words and a Scripture verse. I write the words in a notebook. Then I look up the definition or find the Biblical meaning or significance of the word and write that down too. Then, I write down the Scripture verse.

But on June 19, 2021 after writing the Ephesians 3:6 verse, God continued giving me more words. His words flowed in such a way I had never experienced before. And the pace at which His words came to me were faster than I could fully comprehend.

    INTRODUCTION

I read and reread the LORD’s lengthy revelation that He gave me on June 19th, 2021. Within the content of His Word, He told me to "pick up the pace and that I was meant to complete the project in which I had started but had not yet completed. Then, for many days to follow, God continued to give me more Revelation to include in our book."

The LORD’s full and complete Revelation, His Words given to me, have been placed in the last part of this book in the section called God’s Word Revealed. To emphasize the LORD’s Words that He gave to me, His Words are written in italic print. I’ve provided the date to show the chronological order of God’s messages. Definitions and Scripture verses have been included as well.

There are twenty-nine chapters in this book. Each chapter has two sections, God’s section and my section. God’s section includes His Word which provides a deeper understanding for my section. Each section has its own unique title. The first title is for God’s section. Then follows the date that God’s Word was given to me. God’s Word follows in italic print. My section, the second section, begins with the title for my story. Then my story follows. That’s how the book flows. It’s a pattern!

This book contains the LORD’s Revelation, Scripture verses, and my experiences. The LORD’s Words that He gave me to include in our book have been written precisely as He gave them to me. The LORD’s Words have not been altered. Scripture verses that the LORD referenced to include in our book have been quoted from the Life Application Study Bible, New Living Translation, except where noted.

My story describes events from my life experiences and observations that includes in part growing in love, protecting my children, seeking and standing up for the truth, overcoming fear and injustice, the need for righteous leaders, witnessing miracles, growing in faith, and my walk with God. All events reported in this book occurred, however, as required by my publisher, some changes were made for legal reasons including changing the names of characters and varying identifications.

    WALK IN MY COMMANDS

    50895.png

God’s Word given to me on 7/10/2021 "It shall be as I command for I am the LORD your God." 7/21/2021 "It shall be as I command for my people… I have given these commands in days before you and they are still my commands... Have you not heard this command?... It is as was told in the days of Moses as I command the people to follow my commands." 8/5/2021 "Walk in my commands. 8/7/2021 It is important to remember my commands." 8/8/2021 For loving one another is a command I’ve given from the beginning. 8/21/2021 "You listened and you’re following my command for your life." 10/8/2021 "It shall be as I command for I am the LORD of Hosts." 11/25/2021 "Yet there are those who do good according to my will and my command." 12/27/2021 "You are to seek my commands and my will." 1/5/2022 "Be not what you think but what the LORD of Host commands."

    Mandated and Illicit Commands

You keep your mouth shut, and you can tell Abigal she’s not getting those records.

Those words were hostile, intimidating, and threatening yet I thought the situation could be—and would be—quickly remedied. After all, I was an employee at an energy company where safety was supposed to be the single most important aspect of operating the plant. All employees were to share in the responsibility of ensuring that the safety rules and practices were being followed.

The energy company began operation with systems in place, and the cooling towers were part of that process. In the 1990s, a section of one of the cooling towers collapsed. A short while later, another section collapsed. After the second collapse, a restoration project was planned. The project was going to be extensive. It would include removing the collapsed materials as well as removing the portion of the cooling tower that was still standing. However, the project was more than a construction project because the cooling towers contained tons of asbestos-containing material.

Bea was a construction worker who traveled to various plants as a contracted union laborer. Through the years we became friends. And as it was a long distance for Bea to travel back and forth from her home to the energy company, whenever she worked at the plant, she stayed with us. So, when Bea was hired to work on the cooling tower project, I once again welcomed her into our home.

Because the cooling towers contained asbestos, Bea along with the other construction workers were required to attend asbestos training. The training was contracted with and provided by a company that specialized in asbestos removal and asbestos abatement training.

Class II Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) asbestos training was given to the employees and contract workers that were going to be working on the cooling tower project. A certified industrial hygienist was the training instructor.

Mandated asbestos training was critical to the cooling tower project and is also an important piece to understanding the significance of this story. As such, the content of the training material is included in detail. Although I do not know the exact words spoken during the training, I became well aware of the subject matter taught. Therefore, I’m providing an educated guess as to the flow of the day and the content of the class.

At the beginning of the training, the instructor probably provided each employee a training packet, and said something like, "Each of you has been given a ten-page Class II OSHA asbestos training packet which you will be tested on after this eight-hour asbestos abatement course. Asbestos abatement means the legally mandated way of removing and containing asbestos so that it does not cause harm or no longer causes harm to others. It’s a strong and flexible naturally occurring fibrous silicate mineral. It’s considered useful, because it doesn’t burn or conduct heat or electricity, it can be woven into fabrics, is cheap, and easy to mine. Chrysotile, amosite, and crocidolite are the three most common forms of asbestos. Chrysotile, white asbestos, is the most common; Amosite, brown asbestos, is hard to wet; and Crocidolite, blue asbestos, is used on high pressure gaskets.

Now a brief history lesson: Finland used asbestos in stone age cooking pots. Historian, Pliny the Elder, first reported use in mining and weaving in the Roman era. The first modern use occurred when Henry Johns encouraged asbestos gaskets and insulation for steam engines. In the 1870s, the first commercial mine was established in Quebec, Canada. The first asbestos related disease was reported by a British textile worker in the 1890s. In the 1900s, asbestos was used in skyscrapers as fireproofing. During the World War II Era, the shipbuilding industry extensively used asbestos, resulting in a high rate of lung cancer levels in shipyard workers. OSHA set work-place limits in 1972. The Environmental Protection Agency prohibited use of friable asbestos in 1973 and then banned all asbestos products in 1986. In 1986, rules on assessing and managing asbestos in schools came on the scene. Then, in 1991, the Environmental Protection Agency’s 1986 ban on all asbestos products was overturned. OSHA standards were implemented with rules similar to school assessment and management for business and industry in the 1990s. Then, the Minnesota Department of Health Rules tightened, and new respirator standards were implemented. Yet, believe it or not, asbestos is still used in over 3,000 products, and world consumption of asbestos is still on the rise. And there are many diseases and health related issues that are associated with asbestos exposure.

The instructor probably continued by saying something like, Asbestos Regulations of OSHA Asbestos Rules, 29 CFR 1926.110, provide mandates when working with asbestos-containing material. These rules or mandates include the permissible exposure limits, or in other words, the maximum amount of asbestos an individual can be exposed to and the required way of notifying employees, contractors, and tenants of the presence of presumed asbestos-containing material. These rules also define the requirements of the competent persons, the mandated warning signs, and labels for the area around the asbestos-containing material or presumed asbestos-containing material.

The instructor might have looked around the room to make sure he still had everyone’s attention, and then continued. Wetting the material must be done in order to keep the invisible asbestos fibers from becoming airborne. High-efficiency particulate air vacs or HEPA vacs must be used. You do not sweep asbestos-containing material because you don’t want the asbestos fibers to become airborne. OSHA forbids dry handling dust or debris of any asbestos containing material. Non-HEPA filtered vacuum cleaners for asbestos-containing material dust are forbidden. The use of high-speed abrasive disc saws and compressed air on asbestos-containing material or associated dust are forbidden. Special work procedures must be followed for removing asbestos-containing transite, flooring, roofing, and gaskets. There are specific requirements on testing the air using air monitoring and personal exposure sampling. Medical surveillance goes into effect if you’ve been exposed to asbestos for more than thirty days in a single year. And then, record keeping is required for thirty years.

The instructor would have paused, maybe taken a drink of water, and then asked, Does anyone have any questions? No questions would have been asked, so he continued, "The Minnesota Department of Health Rules will also be included in this training. The Minnesota Department of Health Rules specifies the requirements of training and licensing of workers, supervisors, and contractors. Along with requiring proper abatement and monitoring, the state requires a 1 percent permit fee and there is a stipulation that the state must be notified of any abatement project that is over 160 square feet / 260 linear feet / 35 cubic feet of friable asbestos-containing material. The state requires a five-chamber decontamination shower with air monitoring in areas that are adjacent to the abatement as well as air clearance by optical microscopy.

"The Environmental Protection Agency National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants stipulate, when handling asbestos-containing cement asbestos board or transite, that cutting, abrading, or breaking transite panels is prohibited. Each panel must be sprayed with amended water prior to removal. Panels must be kept intact as much as possible and lowered immediately to the ground if not wrapped or bagged. Wrapped or bagged transite panels must be lowered to the ground after each shift. Removal of nailed panels must be done by carefully unbolting the wetted panels and promptly cleaning up the transite waste and debris. Personal air sampling must be performed to determine personal exposure limits.

Along with the ten-page Class II OSHA Asbestos Training packet you will also find a forty-page attachment of OSHA Regulations (Standards - 29 CFR) Asbestos, 1926.1101 titled ‘Toxic and Hazardous Substances.’ That standard includes definitions, mandates regarding permissible exposure limits, multi-employer worksites, regulated areas, exposure assessments and monitoring, methods of compliance, respiratory protection, protective clothing, hygiene facilities and practices for employees, communication of hazards, housekeeping, medical surveillance, recording, and what constitutes a competent person. These asbestos handling regulations are extensive and specific. They are required by law and they must be followed. The instructor probably sounded firm maybe even stern while delivering that part of the training. This training will also include mandates from OSHA Regulations (Standards - 29 CFR) Asbestos, 1910.1001, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Then, there is the Minnesota Statutes, sections 326.70 to 326.81, which are the Minnesota Administrative Rules for asbestos handling. Those rules are many and include the asbestos license, certifications, reporting work, asbestos containment barriers, discriminations, sanctions, contractor licensure, use of qualified individuals, certification of asbestos workers, site supervisors and inspectors, asbestos-related work project notice, permit issuance, permit fees, posting the work site, records, duties of contracting entity, asbestos inspection and assessment, HEPA-filtered negative pressure, removal of asbestos-containing material, and asbestos project design. Minnesota Administrative Rule 4620.3480 Asbestos Project Design includes abatement and addresses things, such as asbestos-containing material enclosure, removal, encapsulation, and repair work practices. Then, there’s air monitoring, analysis, documentation, and record keeping, respiratory protection and personal protective equipment requirements, as well as the disposal of asbestos-containing materials, and project waste.

The instructor may have paused after possibly saying all of that. Then, with a serious look on his face, and while looking around the room and making eye contact with everyone, he might have added, "Proper handling of asbestos is critical! There is a reason why there are federal, state, local, and company rules and mandates in place. It’s because proper handling of asbestos is a matter of life and death! It’s for the safety of you workers! It’s for the safety of your families! And proper handling and disposal is critical for the safety of the community and the environment!

"You need to take every precaution when working with asbestos. If the asbestos fibers become airborne, you won’t know it because the fibers are microscopic. So, personal air sampling is performed, and the results tested so that you know how many fibers are floating around in the air that you’re breathing.

"Another rule is the Minnesota Administrative Rule Part 4620.3585, Demolition by Destruction to the Ground, that states the site must be secured and posted with warning signs that state in upper case bolded letters: DANGER. ASBESTOS. CANCER AND LUNG DISEASE HAZARD. AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL ONLY. RESPIRATORS AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHING ARE REQUIRED IN THIS AREA.

"Asbestos related health problems occur when the microscopic asbestos fibers become airborne. Once airborne those fibers can get stuck on clothing, breathed in, and then lodged inside a person’s body. Asbestos fibers become airborne when the asbestos-containing material is broken from its original intact state. Proper asbestos handling is critical. Asbestos, if improperly handled, can be deadly.

"Asbestos can cause a variety of illnesses which include, asbestosis and mesothelioma, although many other asbestos related diseases do exist. Mesothelioma is a commonly known aggressive form of cancer. Treatments are available yet for many people with mesothelioma there is no cure. The most common form of mesothelioma is pleura mesothelioma which affects the tissue that surrounds the lungs. Signs and symptoms of this horrible disease include chest pain, painful coughing, shortness of breath, unusual lumps of tissue under the skin on the chest, and unexplained weight loss. Peritoneal Mesothelioma is mesothelioma occurring in the abdomen. Signs and symptoms include abdominal pain, abdominal swelling, nausea, and unexplained weight loss. Pericardial mesothelioma affects the tissue surrounding the heart which causes chest pain and breathing difficulty. Mesothelioma of tunica vaginalis affects tissue surrounding the testicles which may first be detected as a mass or swelling on one or both testicles. There are other symptoms that may occur with an asbestos related disease including chest tightness, and fingertips and toes that appear wider and rounder than normal which is called clubbing.

"The primary risk factor for these diseases, is asbestos exposure, however, the asbestos related illness is not diagnosed once you’ve been exposed. There is a ten to forty-year latency period where the disease remains dormant. That means you won’t know if any asbestos fibers have infiltrated into your body for ten to forty years!

Improper handling of asbestos could be life altering and even life ending. Asbestos must be handled properly. Handle all asbestos-containing material with extreme caution. It is a toxic material and cancer-causing agent.

The instructor may have concluded the introduction to the training by stating, There are many, many mandates associated with asbestos removal. Please be diligently listening to my instruction throughout this training session. Remember that you will be tested on your knowledge associated with the rules and regulations of asbestos abatement. Please let me know at any time, if you have any questions, concerns, or comments.

The training packets containing the standards and mandates were given to the employees and contractors at the beginning of their training. After the training Bea brought her packet to our home and I read it in its entirety. The regulatory standards were extensive and specific, and I found the information to be frightening! It was frightening because of the possible ramifications should the materials not be handled properly. Improper handling of the materials could be deadly! Not only to the person working on the project, but also the people that they then come in contact with, including children!

Yet, the unexpecting worker, their family, and others wouldn’t even know that asbestos fibers had infiltrated their bodies until they start to show symptoms, which doesn’t occur immediately. It takes ten to forty-years for a person to begin to feel the symptoms of harmful asbestos exposure…And from the time of toxic exposure, those affected will unknowingly be living with a ticking time bomb, a disease, that slowly and methodically wreaks havoc on their body.

    Chapter 2

    YOU ARE PROTECTED BY

    THE ONE TRUE GOD

    50885.png

God’s Word given to me on 7/9/2021 "The Mighty Army shall protect you and your family." 7/16/2021 "Heaven’s Army shall protect and keep you safe in your ways." 8/21/2021 "You are protected by the One True God who reigns forever and ever and always has and always will." 2/8/2022 "Amen and Amen says the LORD of the Heavenly Hosts. God’s Heavenly Army will be your strong force to keep you safe. Call on the Heavenly Host. The Heavenly Host is for all my children."

    Safety and Protection

All employees and contractors working at the energy company were taught to understand that safety was the number one priority at the plant. All jobs and duties were to be completed with the mindset of safety first. All aspects of jobs, functions, and processes included safety and protection.

There were various procedures created and implemented to ensure the safety and protection of the workers, the plant, and the environment. Procedures were used for completing day to day duties as well as for preventative maintenance. Either checklists or reference only procedures were used depending on the significance of the jobs being performed.

The checklist type procedures were used while completing critical work and written with step-by-step instructions. The first step and each step that followed needed to be completed exactly as it was written. Once the step was completed it was signed off or checked off then the next step could begin. That pattern continued until the entire procedure with each of the steps being signed off was completed. The reference use only procedures were used as a guide or reference while completing the work.

The company also had many security measures put in place to protect the employees, the plant equipment, the community, and the environment. Safety and protection were the top priorities in operating the plant.

    Chapter 3

    YOU HAVE BEEN CALLED

    50876.png

God’s Word given to me on 6/19/2021 The Alpha and Omega has called you his own. 6/30/2021 I have called you by name and you are mine for the Kingdom of the God Most High. 7/3/2021 You have been called… Our dear children. You have been called. 7/10/2021 "You are called by God to show the world my power. My might. My insurrection. Delve into the project in which you have been called." 7/12/2021 "Do not hesitate and do not dismay over this project for you have been called for this time to do my will." 7/19/2021 "You are called. Why Me?

In the early 1990s, I was hired at the energy company as a full-time benefitted employee in the administrative department. Then, while pregnant with Grace, my first child, I said to my supervisor, When I come back from maternity leave, I would like to work part-time. That way I’ll be able to spend more time with my sweet adorable little baby, and that will make me a happier Mommy! And if I’m a happier Mommy, I’ll be a happier and better employee! My supervisor cocked her head and retorted, Sorry, that’s not an option. We don’t have part-time work here. She headed off my question in a quick matter-of-fact tone, however, I was ready for her! I smiled and said, My position could become a job-share position like they have at the corporate office. I had already looked into my options before going to her with my brilliant idea! She looked at me, rolled her eyes, and begrudgingly said, Look into it. Get the details. Then, we can talk about it.

So, after further researching the process, I went back to my supervisor with the information that was needed to move my full-time position into a part-time job-share position. A change in the job description status required the approval of and signatures from both the corporate headquarters as well as the plant chain of command.

Shortly thereafter, my supervisor told me with an excited tone, Your job-share position got approved! I was surprised and relieved by her new-found excitement for the change that would be occurring within our department and the plant.

Eventually, my job-share partner took on a full-time position. I was then offered the opportunity to work as a part-time employee independent of a job-share partner. I accepted and continued working twenty hours a week. Several years later, I became the proud mother of Isabelle, my second sweet adorable little baby girl. And, as the mother of two daughters, I continued to work part-time.

When Bea began her contracted work assignment on the cooling towers, I was unaware of the significant health risks that were associated with asbestos handling until I reviewed the ten-page training packet and attachments that she brought back to our home. The documents included warnings that asbestos handling was extremely dangerous. So, wanting to fully understand the risks, I thoroughly read the documents. Then, I read them again and again and again.

The asbestos regulations were lengthy, yet I quickly became aware of the significance of following proper abatement, which included air sample readings. So, when Bea came home after her first day of working on the cooling tower project, I casually asked her, So, what were the air sample readings? They weren’t posted yet. She replied. Then, the next day, I asked. And again, she responded, The readings still haven’t been posted.

I learned by studying the regulations, that the air sample readings were supposed to be clearly posted at the job site for all the workers to easily see, or they were to be given to the workers individually. Workers were to wear air monitoring devices so the air where they were handling the asbestos-containing material could be tested. The air was supposed to be sampled then tested in order to determine the number of asbestos particles, if any, that the workers were breathing in. And if there were asbestos fibers in the air, what was the asbestos fiber count?

It was critical that the workers received the results of the air sample tests. Yet on day two, the results still had not been provided. It didn’t make sense to me. I didn’t understand why the readings hadn’t been posted or why the workers hadn’t been given the readings, so, after day three, I once again asked Bea if the air sample results had been provided. I heard the same answer, No. But, this time the no was said in an irritated tone. She said, I requested the readings today, then I got the silent treatment. What do you mean you got the silent treatment? I asked. She said, Basically, after I asked for the air sample readings, they ignored me. At first, I was perplexed, then I became irritated. Why would they ignore you just because you asked for the air samples? I asked.

Several days went by, and still the air sample readings had not been posted, nor were the air sample results given personally to the workers. I told Bea, "Since you’re working as a contractor and I’m an employee, maybe
