    FOREWORD

The motivation to write this book finds its origin in the core of my calling. It was my response to the calling that created a desire to fulfil II Timothy 2:15 which states: Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of Truth.

I fully understood 2 Timothy 2:20–21 stating: "But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay,

some for honour and some for dishonour. ²¹Therefore if anyone

cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work."

It is the aforementioned verses that triggered a deeper and diligent desire to be even more committed towards striving for a distinct goal in my calling.

    DEDICATION

I dedicate this masterpiece to all those who are called by the name of JEHOVAH/YAHWEH, those who have been cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb, and those who constitute the category mentioned in Romans 8:14: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

This masterpiece goes to those defenceless orphans, widows and the heavy laden multitudes everywhere in the world; those that Christ ascended the cross to claim and deliver.

    PREFACE

It is indeed a privilege to be accorded a moment to pen an opinion, an idea, a vision or a belief centred on my super ordinate goal of life. This defines the purpose for my reason for being. And this shall serve in the next coming pages that you will be reading as an impetus providing the momentum rooted in experiential encounters, in observation as well as the resourcefulness embedded in the wealth of God's word.

And this to me serves to communicate the perceived fears, direct encounters as well as the aspired solution to address the need and the global outcry of the day. I have chosen to narrate this journey through the Biblical story that motivated me. We read the story in Joshua 17:14–18.

The whole encounter presented to Joshua, by one particular clan in Israel, does not differ much from what individuals, clans, tribes, various social, political and economical groups could present to their authorities this very day. We will be looking at the meaning of territory, its implications and its significance to the inhabitants. We will also be looking at the cause factors for the need of the enlargement of one's own territory.

There is an undesired tendency of compliance to uncomfortable circumstances around us. Basically, for the fear that voicing one's discontentment could jeopardise one's wellbeing, freedom, or even possibilities of growth, recognition and acceptance in their milieu.

    INTRODUCTION

As the title of the book at hand suggests, "Going Beyond the Allocated Territory;" we would be looking at aspects related to the definition of the territory, reasons for writing this book, the audience for whom it is intended, the motivation as well as the purpose for writing.

    Reasons for writing this book

During the period I came to the revelation of Christ Jesus as Master of my own destiny, I have taken the challenge upon myself to inspire others to a similar encounter. Inspiration here means creating the necessary ground and platform for the onlooker to desire to live a similar life as emulated in the character and person of Christ Jesus who even though He was God Himself, but never thought of it as an equal with God. He actually did not consider it robbery to be equal with God. (Phil. 2:5–6).

Inherent in the writing of this book is the desire to motivate the reader by form of extending an invitation as it appears in Matthew 11:28–30, where Christ says: Come to me all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. It is also my goal to resuscitate any endowments of individuals that have been extinguished by circumstances and a countless other factors.

This resuscitation suggests a call to stir up the gift, be it in the form of birthrights or a spiritual virtue received by the laying of the hands, or even still as inherited from one's own forebears. Put in the words of Paul in his charge to Timothy in I Timothy 4:14, he explicitly states the following: Do not neglect the gift that is in you which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. He explicitly encourages one to stir the gift. Stirring the gift calls for an active

conscious, wilful as well as deliberate personal participation in the development of one's own spiritual, social and psychological growth.

I further intend to cause the sense of urgency. This suggests that we as earthlings should fully recognise that time is not on our side in matters related to the end time predictions espoused in Biblical teachings. This is a call to redeem the times.

The  audience  My intention in writing is to reach the entire globe, men and women of all races, religion, colour and creed with the good news of Christ Jesus. This is not a romantic call into the life of prosperity embedded with flowers from beginning to end, but a response to the Great Commission charge pronounced in Matthew 28:19 where Christ says: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.

I am in a nutshell inviting the reader to journey along with me into the direct will of God which Christ revealed to one of the teachers of His time in the dark hour of the night when He said as in John 3:3: Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.

    Summarising my target audience

I would say the book is intended for those who think they have arrived at their goals. It is also intended for those who are still struggling towards their goals: those who are calling, yearning and crying in search of their identity. For how can one answer a call to goal achievement whilst struggling with matters related to identity and the purpose for being?

Very close to my heart are those who are persecuted, tortured, maimed and scourged by circumstances. This group constitutes those

rejected in their respective homes and those in broken matrimonial settings. I do not forget those discriminated in their workplaces, for reasons such as gender, pigmentation, physical stature and any hidden social, economic, political or ethnocentric reasons. My very commitment goes to the broken hearted, one in a thousand who is most probably like me.

One out of a million from either of these groups that has in one or the other way lost hope is too much to have caused Christ to ascend mount Calvary. What is intended with the masculine pronouns will equally apply to the feminine gender and all masculine notions will equally apply to the feminine.

    Motivation for writing

Dilapidated situations that have apprehended the economic wellbeing of this generation, as purported by all forms of media around us have triggered the writing of this book. Hearing the hurts of people around me, observation of unemployment, the outcry of the scourge of the global pandemic have all led me to the compilation of this book.

It is said of Christ that He looked at the crowds and saw them like a flock without a shepherd, and "this moved his heart." I submit that it is this very passion that has moved me to putting this book together.

    Purpose for the writing

I have over the years observed that the solution to our plight is not miles away from us, nor is it strides away from us. It is in an actual fact within us. Put in the words of Matthew 6:33: it is stated, But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. The things to be added here are material things such as clothes, shelter, food and any other necessities for survival.

This therefore stimulated the desire to come up with a prophetic voice for this day. Prophetic in the sense that I was inspired by what the Lord said to Ezekiel in Ezekiel 3:1: Son of man, eat what you find, eat this scroll and go, speak to the house of Israel.

I might not have eaten the scroll with the oomph, vim, enthusiasm and the vigour with which Ezekiel exerted himself. I have however eaten the same scroll, which has the power to transform bones into living beings as evidenced in Ezekiel 37. This is a prophetic authority Christ alludes to in Matthew 28:18 where He says: All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

My purpose of writing this book is summarised in the authority graciously endowed in the spirit of the scroll. Dear reader, I would be undermining with immeasurable contempt the power of the Word of God if I do not write from the beginning and charge orderliness into your direct life. By the same authority Ezekiel ordered the bones to come into being and the same authority vested in Christ, I order the
