I'm Lost

About this ebook
An older sister taking care of her younger sister finds that their next ordinary day gradually takes odd twists and turns, leading her to question her reality and sanity as the day continues. Fun fact: This book is based on a real dream the author had and wrote the story down word for word the next morning. I'm Lost is a short story from the short story collection book "When Life Strikes Midnight." Check out the book so you can read the rest of my stories in that collection!
About The Author
I spend most of my time reading, writing, or creating art. When I am not doing any of those things, I am listening to music or obsessively binge-watching animated shows and movies. I always have my head in the clouds, daydreaming of all sorts of ridiculously divine things that transport me away from the real world, and I love moving through life that way. I live happily somewhere on planet Earth.

I'm Lost - Sharon Forester
This is Kaylie Stone. And this is my (almost) live journal. A lot of different things happened in my life, but here, I will tell you the most extraordinary thing that’s ever happened to me. It was kind of weird. But first, let me tell you about myself. I am a sixteen-year-old girl that craved adventure in her life with her six-year-old little sister. Unfortunately, this is all I can say about myself. You’ll know more once the story continues. I will tell you right now that throughout my life, I have been trapped in my house with my mom and little sister, which was okay, but I couldn’t go out to do something on my own for once. I will admit that that rare time comes around once in a while, but that’s because I kept ditching home to visit places. I always knew in my heart that if I kept that up, I was going to end up getting myself lost. The title of this journal pretty much explains what happens to me as you may have already guessed, but it’s weirder than that. It was an adventure I would never forget! It was scary and just plain crazy! But it taught me a lesson I wouldn’t forget. Of course, let me start from the beginning like we always should.
September 2
It was another day of school for me. I marched my way home and faced a little girl run up to me as she called my name. Kaylie! Kaylie!
That was six-year-old Rawnie—my little sister. She gave me a tight hug. I missed you! I missed you!
I laughed and smiled. I missed you, too, Rawnie.
Suddenly, I got in my head one of those moments where I was going to do something that I was going to regret later on. Hey, Rawnie, tomorrow, I’m going to take you out for sister-bonding to a special place you love.
Yay!
Rawnie clapped and jumped up and down with excitement.
