My name is Marla Brown, but everyone calls me Nanny. I am a wife, mother of three, and Nanny to five wonderful granddaughters who inspired this book. I live on a pony farm in a small, idealistic, rural town along the Ohio River in Kentucky. Kentucky is home to the famous Kentucky Derby horse race. Horses and ponies have always been a big part of our lives. I have spent lots of time with my granddaughters as they’ve grown up.
