It’s a Saturday shortly before Christmas, Dec. 15, 1956. The smell of Christmas cookies fills the air. Out of 12 children in our family, six of us still believe in Santa Claus! My oldest sister, Trudy, and her boyfriend, Pat, just announced they’re going to go see Santa, and all who believe in him are welcome to come. George, John, Carmella, Josephine (that’s me), Antoinette and Anna all pile into Pat’s car.
