    All the way to school I kept my eyes closed. I kept hoping that when I opened them I would be at my old school with my old friends. Maybe, just maybe I was having a really bad dream and I would wake up soon.

    You can open your eyes now Becca, Mom said. It’s going to be all right. You’ll make new friends. I promise. No luck, it wasn’t a dream.

    I don’t want new friends Mamma. I want my old friends and I want my old house! I said louder than I meant to. Today was the first day at my new school and I felt absolutely miserable.

    To make things even worse, I had forgotten my treasure chest at our old house and since it wasn’t our house anymore, Daddy said we couldn’t go back to get it. My treasures were in that box and there it sat hidden – waiting for some other little girl to discover. It just wasn’t fair…
