Parents. Moms & Dads. Families that live together, or separated. There’s no official handbook for new parents. Every family and situation is unique, and the idealistic pedestal isn’t only what we see in movies and on TV. The titles within the Best Parenting Books cover a range of skills on specific and important topics that are “easy to digest” and implement. In there I place many useful resources that are beneficial to any type of parent or family member. You’re on a journey to becoming a more successful parent, and part of that is exploring different paths to find which approach best resonates with you— or to choose the perfect combination for you and your child. My straightforward approach is designed to help you understand child behavior, backing up that knowledge with research, and teaching you some actionable strategies you can use every day. This is exactly what I used to do with parents like you in one-on-one sessions. Transforming those experiences into tried and true print means between my pages you’ll find yourself on the way to raising a happy, healthy, independent, strong and resilient child— who’ll grow into a successful adult. My own childhood was ingrained with turmoil which left me a past filled with its share of guilt, shame, depression, low self esteem, and anxiety. It often made me feel trapped, and is what set me on my professional course to helping parents find direction. Putting my insight, strategies, and experience into the written word extends my reach farther than a limited number of face-to-face sessions ever could. Since then I’ve published several books on the subject, with more on the way. Together I hope we’ll be able to pass on positive parenting onto future generations to come. Kind Regards, Frank Dixon

Teach Kids to Become Mentally Strong - Frank Dixon
Book Description
Stigmatization around mental health issues in children has made it harder for those in need of help to be able to get it. We are quick to label a child's need for love as attention-seeking behavior, their need for validation as craving importance, and demanding support as just childish behavior. We have told them that they need to get over whatever they are experiencing like an adult without ever sitting down with them and discussing it. This needs to change, and hopefully, this book will help you see that!
Stigmatization of mental health issues can prevent children from becoming confident, resilient, and mentally strong. Mental strength is an important trait to cultivate in young children today. Unlike the old days, they have an immense burden on their shoulders. From thinking about smart career prospects to forming healthy social relationships or from building the most happening social media profile to ensuring that they have what it takes to be successful, preteens and teenagers deal with issues that were unheard of a few decades ago. With competition on the rise, they have to have the right mindset that will help them accomplish their goals in life.
Since it all begins at home, as parents, we have a key role in shaping a child's personality. How they perceive challenges, get up after being knocked down, and keep their emotions under control are all skills that parents have a big contribution in developing and nurturing. It is time we upgrade and become super parents by raising not only confident or independent, happy kids but also the ones that are mentally strong.
In Teach Kids to Become Mentally Strong, author Frank Dixon addresses parents and their growing concerns about how to raise children who can survive on their own. He talks about qualities such as emotional validation; importance of education and understanding of mental health issues; resilience; and problem-solving to facilitate parents in raising mentally tough children who can live up to their true potential in this stigmatized world.
