Why I Wrote This Book

This book is the true story of my first year in internet marketing. I also believe my story is the story of millions of people out there who are still struggling in their relentless search for financial breakthrough on the internet.

My story is a story of hope that went through a painful process of frustration, disappointment and ridicule before finally getting a glimpse of redemption at the point of almost succumbing to hopelessness.

It is a story of a fruitless and frustrating search for the elusive internet gold. It is the story of a man who bought into the hype of instant riches on the internet without an understanding of the fundamentals that it takes to succeed online.

While mine is a story of frustration, despair and disappointments, it is also a story of triumph. It is a story of snatching victory from the mouth of defeat. It is a story of what happens when you do not accept quitting as an option.

It is a story of what is possible once you allow yourself to get out of the ‘wannabe’ mentality, into the real world of deliberate systematic and strategic marketing. It is the story of how I fumbled around for months on the internet acting like a guru, with no guru sense, until I met the real gurus who finally showed me the path to success on the internet.

I have chosen to spill my guts and tell the true story of my early frustrating and humiliating search for the elusive success online, in the hope that it will encourage others out there to correct some of their errors before they get knocked out of the game for good. My story is meant to be a cautionary tale of what not to do and what to do as a newbie or struggling marketer on the internet.

It is also my hope that the reader, whether a newbie guru-wannabe, like me, or a struggling veteran , will take courage in the fact that if an African immigrant refugee could fumble his way to the path of success on the internet, so can they.

There is really no viable ‘get-rich-quick’ product out there on the internet without the fundamentals. Anyone who told you otherwise is a liar. I should know, because I bought the lie for many months from many self-styled gurus before realizing that nothing can really take the place of learning the fundamentals and studying the strategies of the real gurus if long term success is your goal.
