Straight Rower To Gay Blower - Sebastian Davidson

    Straight Rower To Gay Blower

    By Sebastian Davidson

The sun was just starting to rise over the lake as the rowing team made their way to their boat. The first event of the season was always nerve-wracking, but also energizing. The rower, whose name is Alex, couldn't help but feel a bit of excitement bubbling up despite his nerves.

Alright, everyone gather up, said the team captain, a tall and muscular guy named Dave. We've got the first race of the season coming up. Remember everything we've practiced. Stay calm, stay focused, and don't let any distractions derail us.

As they made their way to the boat, Alex surveyed his teammates. They were all such impressive physical specimens, and he felt lucky to be part of such a dedicated and skilled group. But he couldn't help feeling like he didn't quite mesh with them the way he wanted to.

As they got ready to launch, Alex felt a hand clap him on the shoulder. It was Dave.

Hey man, you good? he asked.

Alex nodded nervously. Yeah, just a bit anxious. I really want to do well today.

Dave smiled reassuringly. You got this. We've all been there. Just remember to breathe and stay cool.

They launched the boat into the water, the oars making a gentle splashing sound as they hit the surface. Alex's heart was pounding as they started rowing, keeping time with the steady beat of the drum.

As they neared the finishing line, Alex could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He was so focused on the race that he almost didn't notice the guy in the stands who was watching him intently.

After the race, as the team was cleaning up and getting ready to head back to campus, the same guy approached Alex. He was tall, with tousled brown hair and a warm smile.

Hey, he said, extending his hand. I'm Jake. I noticed you were really killing it out there.

Alex shook his hand, feeling a flush of heat rise to his cheeks. Thanks. I'm Alex.

Jake leaned in closer. Listen, I know this might sound a bit forward, but would you maybe want to grab a beer with me sometime? Or maybe some food? I just really enjoyed watching you row out there.

Alex felt a weird sensation in the pit of his stomach. He'd never really been approached like this before, by someone who seemed genuinely interested in him. But he was also internally conflicted, as he had never considered himself to have any attraction towards men.

Uh, yeah sure. That sounds great, he said, feeling both nervous and excited.

As he watched Jake walk away, Alex felt a strange feeling stirring within him. He couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to explore this new side of himself, to see where it might lead.

But as he turned back towards his teammates, he felt a cold wave of fear wash over him. How would they react? Would they accept him if they found out he was gay?

For now, all he could do was try to push those thoughts aside and focus on the next race. But he knew that the events of the day had opened up a whole new world of possibilities for him.

Alex sat in the stands watching the baseball game, feeling oddly out of place. His teammates had dragged him along, insisting that they needed a break from rowing. Alex tried his best to get into the spirit of the game, but it was hard to concentrate with Jake sitting two seats away from him.

Jake had caught his eye as soon as he arrived. He was wearing a tight-fitting jersey and had a smile that lit up the entire stadium. Alex tried to ignore the fluttering in his stomach every time he looked at Jake, but it was hard to deny that he was attracted to him.

When the game ended, Alex made a beeline for the exit, hoping to avoid any awkward encounters. He was almost out the door when Jake caught up with him.

Hey, are you leaving already? Jake asked, his eyes sparkling.

Alex turned to face him, feeling his heart rate increase. Yeah, I need to get back to campus, he mumbled.

Jake frowned. Oh, okay. Well, do you want to grab a drink sometime?

Alex hesitated. He had never been on a date with a man before, and the thought made him nervous. But he couldn't deny that he was curious about Jake.

Sure, he said, surprising himself. How about Friday?

Jake grinned. Great! I'll text you the details.

As Alex walked away, his mind raced with questions. Was he really going on a date with a man? What would his teammates think if they found out? He couldn't deny that he was attracted to Jake, but he wasn't sure how to reconcile that with his identity as a straight rower.

When he got back to his dorm room, he flopped onto his bed and stared up at the ceiling. He knew he needed to talk to someone about what he was feeling, but he wasn't sure who to turn to.

After several minutes of thought, he picked up his phone and dialed his best friend on the team, Mark.

Hey man, what's up? Mark answered.

Hey, can we talk? Alex asked, his voice shaky.

    Of course, is everything okay?

Alex took a deep breath. I think I might be gay.

The team arrived in the new city early in the morning, ready for the upcoming competition. As soon as they arrived at the hotel where they were staying, the players rushed off to their rooms to unpack and prepare for the first day of the competition.

Alex was quiet during the trip, lost in his own thoughts about his newfound attraction to men. He kept replaying the conversation he had with Jake over and over in his mind, trying to make sense of his feelings.
